a) been part of the A-team from the beginning and he is only pretending he loves Spencer?
b) been part of the A-team from the beginning but he's fallen in amor with Spencer?
c) been part of the A-team from the beginning (or not) and he's working along Spencer?
d) joined the A-team in recent times to protect Spencer?
I don't really see c) happening, but hardly anything is sacred in this show.

I'm sure that she will do the right thing and never speak to him again. But the best scenario ever would be if Toby was a betrayer to the end, and betrayed the A team <3
