What do you usually do during the holiday season?

The holiday season begins in late autumn (fall) and lasts through part of the winter. Usually, I celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. We have a nice jantar and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving dia parade. They dia after Thanksgiving, my aunt and uncle and I decorate for Christmas. I know some people do this after Halloween, but I think any time before Thanksgiving is too early. To each is own, though. On natal Day, I celebrate with my family and have natal jantar and exchange gifts. The dia after Christmas, we put away our natal decorations. Some people wait longer than that. Again, to each is own. We then prepare for New Year's and stay up until midnight on New Year's Eve to ring in the new year.

Well, the holiday season here in the Philippines usually starts as early as September and ends on the first or segundo week of January. Since my birthday comes first before Christmas, my family and I celebrate it por visiting another country. We have been doing this since 2010. Then, on natal Day, we would take fotografias around the natal Tree, open our presents, and go out for dinner. Finally, on New Year's Eve, we stay up late, keep track of the countdown on TV, and watch the fireworks. We then finish the celebration por having a New Year's Dinner.

That sounds neat. I know those of you who aren't from North America might not celebrate Thanksgiving.

The seguinte day, we usually had Thanksgiving leftovers, but we haven't done that since I was in middle school. The dia after Thanksgiving, we decorate for Christmas. On natal Day, we celebrate with my paternal grandmother, and for years, we did a celebration the dia after natal with my maternal grandmother. On New Year's Eve, we watch the ball drop to ring in the New Year. On New Year's Day, our natal decorations are taken down.

Yes. When you celebrate with your maternal grandmother, you have the fun of the "Circle of Sharing", right?

We set up and decorate our natal árvore on December 5, which is the dia my mother was born, and we take it down on New Year's Eve, the dia she tragically died, along with my father. I then watch the New Year's Eve special with my family to ring in the New Year.

It turned out delicious. On November 30, we put our natal árvore in our living room. It already has lights on it, so that's one less thing we deal with. It comes down on December 30. For Christmas, my mother makes a stuffed turkey, and we have a small family dinner, just the three of us, (me, my mother, and my father). We then open presents. On New Year's Eve, I get with my friends and have a New Year's party to ring in the new year.
