I think I've figured it out. Eliot Nightray seems to have some sort of connection to Glen Baskerville. Too bad the show ended without telling, what do you think?

I don't think there will be another season. If you read the manga, it gives you loads of clues as to who Glen is. Its much more detailed and in the latest chapter, Elliot has just died so it may reveal something about his past of connection with Glen in the next chapter. Elliots death below.
