Before Claire and Jamie got down and dirty in bed, they bonded over some romantic wedding night pillow talk that fans didn\'t see when the first season of
Fortunately, PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the deleted scene from the now legendary episode in question. In it, Jamie (Sam Heughan) tells a nervous Claire (Caitriona Balfe) about his extensive family history.
"A lot of the stories you\'re about to hear Jamie talk about were actually taken verbatim from [Diana Gabaldon\'s] book," says showrunner Ron Moore.
"In the final aired version of the episode, we opted to make this whole section much shorter and turn it basically into a montage," he adds.
As they speak, day turns into night and Claire\'s wedding jitters (and her guilt over betraying Frank, her 20th century husband) slowly fade away.
And … well, we know what happens after that, don\'t we? Check out the clip above, one of five deleted scenes with Moore\'s intro that are available on iTunes now.
