They have both moved on from eachother, and have already acknowledged multiple times that they aren't meant to be. I love Julian.I love Brooke.I think they're a perfect match together THOUGH I preferred them in season 6..they're good now(just not amazing like last season) Whether or not Luke was with Peyton I wouldn't ever want Brooke to be with Lucas ever again.They got together,shared wonderful and sad moments and I think their love story had ended and was meant to end but it was ok while it lasted but I never thought they should stay together..because they're were too many cracks in their relationship that I knew wouldn't get fixed.Lucas is with Peyton and Brooke is with Julian and I love both those couples! posted over a year ago. last edited over a year ago

Because Brulian doesn't have ANY of those things. Therefore they are NOT the same as Brucas, they're better... atleast it seems pretty obvious to me that they are. 	jemgrl323 picked Julian: while brooke & lucas will ALWAYS be my favorite couple on OTH... part of the reason i have always loved them is because their love story is so relatable and believable, yet not boring. their relationship developed over time and their feelings with each season got stronger and stronger. if they brought brooke and lucas back together after lucas said "i do" to lindsey and then "i do" to peyton and then had a baby with peyton...it would feel cheap! i'd feel like i was cheated out of the most amazing love story-- i wouldn't want them to ruine BL by doing that. part of the reason i was never an LP fan was because it always felt to me like most of the series they didn't have feelings for one another, or at least didn't show it or speak about it, and then suddenly even though lucas was madly in love with another woman for 3 years, he proposed to peyton. i know many LP fans see their story in a different light- but i just wouldn't want that for the couple i adore. while seeing brooke and lucas together would make me so happy because their chemistry is outrageous and they are on fire when they are in scenes together.... i really don't think i could fully enjoy it knowing he already practically married two other women (and did marry one of them). TheBoySawAComet--- i LOVE brulian. i really do-- they are not my favorite OTH couple, but they are definitely up there on my list. and while i don't agree that brucas was all "cheating, lies, insecurities, fights, non exclusive dating, Brooke not being a priority, and heartache..." i'm not sure how brucas could be all those things but brulian can't? i repeat...i love both couples! but a big part is because they are soooo similar in my opinon. and that means unfortunately that the sucky parts of their relationship are similar as well (and while i love brulian- in season 6 they fought more than any other couple on the show- maybe except for dan and deb). EVERY episode of season 6 in which brooke and julian were together had them fighting...it was brooke not thinking julian was serious about the relationship so she flips out on him, brooke gets mad at julian for his character description of brooke davis being all about sex so she screams at him, brooke being too scared to put her heart on the line because she was hurt in the past so she holds back from him (that is exactly brucas's story line for many episodes in season 3), she still won't say she loves him so they continue fighting for episodes, he begs her to come with him to LA and she turns him down and its a sob fest, she comes back and they tease each other with mind games while she makes him jealous with nick lachey and he makes her jealous with movie-brooke, he once again tries to get her to open up and she responds "i can't do this" many of those scenes parallel some brucas scenes. every episode of them as a couple in season 6 either had brooke yelling or being nasty to julian because she was mad at him, or crying because she was hurt by him. in both relationships brooke was insecure, scared to commit, scared he's going to cheat on her ---it's part of what makes brooke such a complex and deep character. but so i can understand why someone might not like brucas, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. but i have a harder time understanding how brucas is based on insecurities, fights, and heartache- but brulian is not? but once again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. posted over a year ago. last edited over a year ago
