Today is Harry Styles 18th birthday, and it seems that 1D’s American management have their hearts set on turning Harry into the frontman of the group.
So far during their US tour, he has been pushed to the fore of all their promotional work, and he received the lead role during One Direction’s filming of iCarly with Miranda Cosgrove.
An insider told the Daily Star: “Columbia música execs are rubbing their hands with glee. It looks like One Direction are going to be absolutely massive in America. They decided long atrás that Harry is a natural frontman. He’s funny, confident and has a great voice.”
Contrary to the wishes of the bosses, all five members are determined to go on without a lead singer and want to do exactly what they have been doing so far. A friend of 1D went on to say: “Harry certainly hasn’t asked for all this attention.”
Heathrow High Jinks
Elsewhere, One Direction were caught in a spot of bother on their recent flight to L.A. as they missed their boarding call!
It turns out the lads were indulging in a bit of last-minute shopping at Heathrow, and eventually boarded the flight 10 minutos after it was supposed to be taking off – with angry passengers not even getting an apology from them.
Tut, tut boys!

It's very important and sad. If you can do anything to help let me know. Especially if you have a twitter account. We have to keep these things trending. If you can help then Tweet me at @LiamsLilShawty How would you feel if you just wanted to live a normal life working on your career in another country and people constantly called you a threat and/or a terrorists. Just think about this. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

One Direction have offered some sage conselhos to singers hoping to find fame on this year’s series of The X Factor.
The teenage boyband came third on the 2010 run of the ITV reality TV show and unlike Cher Lloyd who advised the new batch of hopefuls to ‘run away’ and hide, the boys claim that all the wannabes need to do, is just be themselves.
Speaking to ITV.com, Harry Styles said contestants shouldn’t be ‘phoney,’ explaining:
Don’t be phoney! Be yourself and don’t pretend be something you’re not. The public will see right through it.
Louis Tomlinson added:
Switch your songs up and don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. And dress to impress. STANDARD!
Niall Horan thinks the singers just need to relax and enjoy the show, saying:
Make sure you relax and enjoy it – don’t let nerves kill all the fun. And don’t be a diva – be nice to everyone who helps you as it’s highly likely you’ll meet them again further down the line.
