I decided to start a new series of artigos where I analyze characters for what I like and don't like. For each article, I will do 8-10 aspects of a character that I like and 8-10 aspects that I don't like. I will do characters who I like and ones who I don't like. I will try to maintain balanced in my viewpoint. I'll start off with the main Once Upon a Time characters and later the main Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

First, let's start with Emma Swan. She's our heroine. She's the savior. She's the product of true love. Seriously, this woman is awesome. But she isn't perfect. So let's start with what I amor about Emma.

1. She has incredible strength
Emma has been through a ton in her life. A lot of it was horrible stuff. But all that's she's been through has made her stronger.

2. She loves her son
In spite of not being a part of Henry's life for the majority of it, she loves her son unconditionally and was willing to mover when she saw that he did not have his best shot. It speaks volumes about her.

3. She cares about others
Like her mother, Emma genuinely cares about others. She tries to change lives for the better. For instance, she fought very hard when she knew Mary Margaret was innocent and when Hansel and Grettel were going to be separated unless their father took them.

4. She has a sense of right and wrong
She fought for Regina when everyone else doubted her. She really didn't have to, especially with their history, but she knows it was right.

5. She killed a dragon
If that isn't awesome I don't know what is.

6. She's gorgeous
She kicks butt and looks good doing it.

7. She does the right thing even when it's harder
A trait inherited from her mother, Emma generally does the right thing even when it's hard. Snow has reinforced this natural trait in the short time that they've been together, but Emma has it in her, even if she doesn't quite take it to the extent her mother does.

8. She can tell when people are lying
Ah, Emma's superpower. amor that she gets people like that and amor that she trusts in that ability.

9. She has a strong sense of family
For someone who grew up without a family, she's quite loyal to her family. Of course she puts Henry first, but she also has helped Regina and Rumpelstiltskin on the basis that they are family.

In spite of how awesome Emma is, she's not perfect. Here's the cons to Emma

1. She tends to be arrogant
An unfortunate trait she inherited from her father. For instance, when she and Snow were stuck in the encantada Forest, instead of listening to her mother, she tried to take control and almost got them all killed por ogres. Great going, Emma.

2. She tends to be emotionally closed off
There are touching moments where we see her come through and see her vulnerabilities. But she's closed off from the world a lot. There's very few people she can be honest with, and she's not always honest even with herself.

3. She could smile a little more
I know she's been through a lot, but I see Regina smile more, and Regina has been through hell too. The times when we see her smile have been around Henry and a flashback with Neal.

4. She lied to Henry about his father
I had a feeling that she lied the moment she told the story, but then later when she admitted it, I was mad at her. Dishonesty is something I don't take lightly, and lying to your children is something I definitely do not condone

5. She's a doubter.
She doubts people, she doubts her own abilities, it took her a long time before seeing Henry was right (I mean, come on. He wasn't the only one trying to tell her this). Her general doubt sometimes drives me crazy.

6.She doesn't face her feelings
She's afraid of her own feelings. Case in point: she wished Neal were dead so she wouldn't have to face those feelings. Ouch.

7. She doesn't respect her parents experience
Yes they are technically the same age. But they all have been through a lot. Her parents have a lot of wisdom that she could benefit from. Also, they have two sets of memories, making them even wiser. She could listen to them, but, "Nope, we're the same age, sorry." You are never too old to respect your parents, and sometimes I think she doesn't.

8. The Mom fights with Regina
So they are mostly Regina's fault, and Regina is far from innocent. But Emma, fighting with your son's adoptive mother isn't getting you anywhere. She's getting better about this, but still.

No character is flawless, but there are both good and bad to each character. It's what makes them human, and Emma is a great example of this.

Thanks for reading. I'd amor to hear your thought and comments. And comment who you want me to do next. Choices: Regina, Snow, Charming, Neal, or Hook.
