I see her keeping whatever Odo gave her. The knick-knack from Chimera, Odo's bucket, the necklace he gave her for their anniversary .... She loved Odo deeply. I see her wanting to reflect on that love, not hide it. And since he DOES return (in Unity), it's a good thing!

Part of me thinks she's just not sentimental and having Odo's stuff around would have been a painful reminder of something that (she thinks) is over. Part of me thinks she would have at least kept Odo's bucket. I just don't know.

I'll tell you my theory: while she's not *extremely* sentimental (you know, keeping the napkin from her first date with Odo, for instance), she IS sentimental about certain things. Her earring, for example. Who made it? Lupuza, one of her dearest friends ... and Kira wore it since the day Lupuza gave it to her. It's part of her, reminding her of one of the best friends she had ever known. I see her wearing Odo's necklace (from their anniversary) under her uniform, just as she still wears the earring Lupuza made for her. And, bringing in a little relaunch here, she's also very sentimental about the datachip Odo sent from the Link ... with a brief message -- to her -- on it. She kept it, as her tie to Odo. She stopped going to Vic's, but Odo was on her mind everyday. Just because she doesn't keep everything, she makes exceptions depending on the person who gave her the item(s). Odo would be included in that very small, very select group ... especially since Odo is the ONLY person with whom Kira practically cohabitated for a year -- a sign that her relationship with Odo was a far more significant one than any other romantic involvement in her life. We never saw her reach that stage with Shakaar and Bareil while they were together.
