Is Yoshi a dinosaur or a dragon?

Lots of people believe Yoshi is considered a dinosaur, while others will call him a dragon. What do you think?

I believe peole have this mistake because in some games Yoshi appear with an alternate form called "Dragoon" or "Super Dragoon".
