So both wanted that Jenny dies? Was it really cancer? I only knew she had a terrible disease, but did they really say it was cancer?

Lauren azevinho, holly let the show know that she intended to not sign a new contract and was leaving after season 5 so the disease was written in and the ending with her death was put in motion as well. It was not 'cancer' it was a specific disease that may have been a type of cancer
