They`re $12 where I live .

It's about £7 (roughly $11) for me, which is pathetic when I could buy the DVD for less.

They're usually around $10 here for a normal showing. I'm cheap, so I usually hit the matinee... which is about $7. Still too high, IMO.

I like the atmosphere of watching a film in the cinema but the only way I can make money is off my parents so I can hardly ever go.

Well, it depends. In my country (Croatia) they're very cheap, actually, but in other countries, I believe they are much too expensive. Especially when I go there with a lower budget than in that country.

In general, yes. But the places I go to are roughly $6.50- $7 because I ask for a student ticket. It's less if you go to the matinee. I've also gone at 10pm on a weekday and it's cheaper then too.

There are a few $2 theaters near me that show movies a month after their release. I go to those with my sister if we're bored.

I know! It's £9.50 for two large drinks and a large popcorn where I go. A complete rip-off when you can just smuggle stuff in ;)

yes but i usually go on a wednesday when tickets are half price but the rest of the time their so expensive especially for the food and drink!

Except on cheap nights when they're about $4.20 but regularly they're almost $10 and when I saw Up they included the price of the 3-D glasses so a ticket was $13. It was ridiculous!

But because of the cruddy economy, I can understand why...
