Idina Menzel says \'Frozen\' sequel is in the works

song “Let It Go,” what she could say about rumors claiming a

sequel and stage musical are on their way. “That they’re all in the works,” she replied, “ha ha!”

She went on to say she’s not sure if she’ll be involved with the stage musical, but will be part of “the movie, hopefully.” “I’m just going along for the ride,” she said. 

 opened Thanksgiving 2013 and grossed $1.27 billion worldwide over its 34-week run — making the Disney feature the highest grossing animated film of all time. It went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and continues to bring in money thanks to its merchandise: A recent survey found more parents are planning to buy 

-related toys than Barbies this holiday season.

writer and director Jennifer Lee is busy adapting Madeleine L’Engle’s 

expect to see how Anna celebrates her birthday in the upcoming animated short, titled 

though. Disney hasn’t specified which film the short will preface, but it will definitely hit theaters in spring 2015.
