When tragedy strikes, how a family deals with the ordeal can make or break them forever.

The new indie film “Bring Me An Avocado” from writer/director Maria Mealla, explores how a family and close friends deal with a mugging gone wrong that leaves a young mother in a coma.

It recently premiered at Cinequest, tying for the ‘Audience Award’ and earning praise for the performances. One of the stand-outs in the film is actress Molly Ratermann, who brought authenticity as the grieving but well intentioned sister who steps in to give the children a sense of normalcy.

Molly has been rising up the indie film ranks earning awards for both her atuação and filmmaking talents. Over the last few years, she’s nabbed ‘Best Actress’ awards at the LA Film Awards, Studio City Int. Film Festival, International Independent Film Festival, Indiefest, and the Actors Awards. She created and starred-in two notable indie shorts: the mental health film “Suicide,” which earned 20 awards and screened at 25 international festivals; and the complex relationship drama “Lizze Lost.”

In between festivals, Molly Ratermann found some time to answer a few questions:

Tell us about your role in “Bring Me An Avocado.”

MOLLY: I play Aunt Greece, who also happens to be a bit “greasy” herself. While my sister is in a coma, I try to fill her role in the family, taking care of her kids and being a bit overly intrusive. It was fun to play this character who is totally not put together with her own life, but acts like she can help everyone else be put together.

What would you consider Greece’s ‘best’ quality? And her ‘worst’?

MOLLY: When Greece really cares about someone, like she does with her sister and nieces, her loyalty and amor for them really shines. She’s got a big coração for family, no matter what. Her worst, for me, was her lack of self care and cleanliness but don’t worry, I didn’t go method about it, I still showered.

Any interesting stories from the set you can share with us?

MOLLY: This was such a fun team to work with and for a drama, we had way too much fun making this film. Between pranking each other with fake pinkies and getting a security guard to strip at our embrulho, envoltório party, we have a lot of fun stories to share, but maybe those are better left up to the imagination.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned from working on this project?

MOLLY: As silly as it sounds, but my biggest lesson was learning that I hate having (fake) greasy hair mais than I’d have ever thought. I also learned that flour can fix greasy hair in an instant… and then make you look like you have major dandruff.

Do you have any other projects in the works?

MOLLY: At the moment, only a few on the atuação front. I have a few features of my own that are deep in development. I’ll be in those, but right now, getting them off the ground is my main focus unless another great project like this one comes along.

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favorito actor/actress?

MOLLY: Charlie Chaplin was my original favorito and to save myself from trying to decide on a modern dia favorite, I’m going to stick with him. He’ll always be a timeless legend in the world.

What role from the past do you wish you could have played?
MOLLY: This film is not in the past, and as weird as it sounds, I would have loved to play Elton John in the new movie “Rocketman.”

Favorite movie or TV show from your childhood.
MOLLY: I was a big “Forrest Gump” and “Austin Powers” fã growing up. I even threw an Austin Powers themed birthday party in 3rd grade and none of the parents would let their kids go because they thought it wasn’t appropriate.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
MOLLY: Oh boy, social media lets everyone know everything about you, this is hard. I’m afraid of peixe and boats, but I don’t think many would believe that because somehow I always end up on a barco or snorkeling with peixe despite my mind telling me not to.

How can fãs keep up with you?
MOLLY: You can find me on twitter @mollykinsale link and Instagram @mollykinsale37 link. Hope to connect with you all there.

The Dark Knight is the 2nd batman that was directed por Christopher Nolan. It came out in 2008 and is often considered to be one of the best batman films and one of the best superhero films of all time.

However, I respectfully disagree with about the quality of this film. I have a very different outlook on this film than most people do.

First off, I want to make it clear that I don't think this film's problem is the cast. Every main and supporting character is well cast and they all put a lot of effort into their roles. Heath Ledger was a very talented and kind person and none of my problems...

It's typical of sequels to come out about 2 or 3 years after the first film. Sometimes, sequels come out the ano after the first one. However, Frozen - Uma Aventura Congelante 2 has come out 6 years after the first film. That's something it has in common with Alice Through the Looking Glass, which came out 6 years after the first film. Of course, the big the pergunta is if the wait was worth it. In this review, I will discuss how the two films compare to each other, as well as give my feelings on the premise and cast of characters.

Frozen 2 brings back the cast of the first film (excluding Prince Hans and the Duke...

Griff the Invisible is a 2010 film. The film deals with a lot of superhero-related material, so while it is a superhero film, it's not a serious action film and it isn't based on any comic book superheroes. Instead, it has drama, romance, and comedy.

The Plot

Griff is a man, who seems average, if somewhat meek, during the day. He's quiet and doesn't get along well with others. He only has one person he regularly socializes with and gets along with, named Tim. Most people consider Griff to be weird and off-putting. However, during the night, he puts on a superhero costume and tries to fight...

Film Courage: Where did you grow up?

Karan Choudhary: I was born and raised in a small town called Faridabad in India. I’m the youngest in a close-knit family of five along with my older brother and sister. At the time of growing up, tv was the only medium for us to be connected with the big cities lifestyle and to the rest of the world, except there was no electricity for most of the time in my town. Schooling wasn’t very interesting to me and I was always afraid of my father to do well in my exams. I wasn’t the kind of kid who would watch desenhos animados all the time. comida was the only interesting...

At some point, everyone hits a low-point in their career and life. It’s that time you think ‘can’t get any worse?’ – and then it does. Then, you wonder if there’s a way out and what you can do it make it happen.

Well, that’s the basic set-up for Jason Cook’s newly released comedy-drama feature film “The Creatress.”

It stars Lindy Booth as Eryn, a best-selling author caught between her wheeling-and-dealing agent (played por Fran Drescher) and a zealous critic (played por Peter Bogdanovich) out to take her down crafting a faux-memoir and a fake lover, Brad. Instead of crawling...

The Last Airbender is a 2010 action film that was based on a beloved show of the same name. The film got really bad reviews, but I actually really liked the film.

I only saw clips of the animated show before watching the live action film so I'm judging this film por itself instead of comparing it to the show. I still haven't watched any full episodes, but I did enough research to understand the plot and characters.

The film focuses on Aang who's the avatar. He's discovered por a duo of siblings, Katara and Sokka, who become his friends. It's up to them to save the world from the evil fogo Nation....

It’s 1977 and four college friends who parted ways years atrás have reunited for what’s supposed to be a raucous bachelor party. Instead, time has brought a few changes and they find themselves on a treasure hunt down Kentucky’s bluegrass bourbon trail. The story starts simple and slowly unfolds into a twisted maze of greed, guilt and murder.

This is “Bullitt County” -- the new indie film currently in limited theaters por AMC Independent and set to launch on VOD/DVD in early 2019.

Keeping up with the men, the only female amongst the once tight-knit group is the wiseass Robin -- played...

disney adaptations of classic stories are hardly faithful, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. But it is troubling when the company defines a story so much to the point that we forget the true spirit of it. In particular, The Jungle Book por Ruyard Kipling is such a case.

Disney's 1967 animated classic is mostly remembered fondly, and I myself own it on Platinum Edition. While it is a shame that it couldn't be closer to the original story due to disney himself finding it too dark for children, it's still a lighthearted, pleasant adventure with fun songs. In 2016, disney released a live action...

There are a lot of good actors that have gotten the attention, respect, and awards that they deserve, but there are some great actors that aren't the household names they should be. These are the topo, início 10 most underrated actors in the world. This list is for both live action and voice actors.

10. John DiMaggio

Most people don't know who John DiMaggio is even though he's pretty much been in every popular animated show from recent years. His best roles include Aquaman in Batman: The Valente and the Bold and the Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood. His most well known roles are Bender in Futurama...

batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is a 2016 DC film that stars DC's 2 most popular super heroes: batman and Superman. Several critics thought that the film is bad. This review is about why I think that the film is really good. Of course you don't have to like the film if you don't want to. However I think that the film is really underrated.

The Film's Plot

Batman and super-homem may both be super heroes, but they sure don't get along. super-homem has his doubts about batman while batman hates super-homem and plans to get rid of him. The rivalry is increased por Lex Luthor who wants batman to get rid...

Dudley Do-Right is a 1999 comedy film that's based on a segment from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Plot

Dudley Do-Right's rival, Snidely K. Whiplash, becomes in charge of Semi Happy Valley. Dudley tries to save his city and impress Nell Fenwick. However Dudley gets fired so he gets mentored por a prospector named Kim J. Darling.

Dudley Do-Right got mocked for not being that entertaining, but I disagree with that. This film is tons of fun with several clever and hilarious scenes. The plot is interesting from beginning to end. This film succeeds at having a interesting plot and having great comedy....

Am I excited about the 2017 My Little pónei, pônei film? Well I'm nervouscited for the upcoming My Little pónei, pônei film.

A major problem I have with the upcoming film is that it's not a Equestria Girls film. Because of that I'm worried that Twilight sparkle's friends will be protagonists. I think that Twilight's friends are weak protagonists, but decent supporting characters. I'm worried about Sunset Shimmer not being in the film. How can you have a good My Little pónei, pônei film without Sunset? I'm hoping that Celestia, Luna, the cutie mark crusaders, and Starlight Glimmer don't appear in the film. I hope that...

Movie reviews generally aren't my thing, and I don't spend a lot of time leitura them let alone composição literária them, but Snowpiercer was one of the best filmes I've seen in years. Here's the synopsis:

In this sci-fi epic from director Bong Joon Ho, a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.(TWC-Radius)

It sounds like a run-of-the-mill dystopian thriller. It sounds...
