I want to know the título of a French romance drama film I used to see...

The film probably isn't newer than from 2004 as that's when I've seen it, but I don't know how old it is.

I haven't seen it in a while, but basically there are 2 boys and 1 girl (ages being somewhere between teen and young adult) who are very good friends.
Our protagonist is one of the boys and is amor with the girl, but it is the other boy that hooks up with the girl as he is mais cool and better at picking up girls. The protagonist is still much in amor with the girl.

After a while, I think some sort of accident happens (I forgot what), taking the boy who's together with the girl out of the scene, separating the couple.
The protagonist takes this opportunity and confesses his amor to the girl, and as a result, they get together.

A while after that, the girl's ex-boyfriend "returns" somehow, and initiates his "revenge" on the protagonist for "stealing his girlfriend and betraying him as a friend".

I really want to know the título of this film as I remembered it was really dramatic and awesome. It probably isn't a very famous film though.
So I especially ask all the French people if they may know what film I'm thinking about. I have been looking for the título for 9 years :/
