lost Benjamin Linus & Jacob

After doing some research trying to find out about Jacob, I cam across an unlikely link. Linus from Peanuts. Ben's last name is Linus, but this about Linus:

Linus is the only one who believes in the Great Pumpkin. Though he occasionally convinces other characters the Great Pumpkin is real, they always lose faith, while Linus keeps his.

Replace the words slightly:

Ben is the only one who believes in Jacob. Though he occasionally convinces other characters Jacob is real, they always lose faith, while Ben keeps his.

Thoughts?

That has potential to fit really well, but im not sure quite what the other "others" views on jacob are tho... have they lost their faith in jacob?? Good Find tho...

I'd always associated Ben with Linus from Peanuts, but only for the name share and never for any reason of significance. Nice thought.

They seem to believe in him quite seriously, though, because they're angered by Ben bringing Locke to see him. But I guess that could fit with "occasionally convinces".
