The título of this episode could have two meanings. One is the fact that Locke, Hurley and Ben are looking for the cabine and two, there is the cabine fever suffered por the crew of the ship. The captain accuses Keamy of suffering from it in this episode.

In the opening scene, a 15-year-old Emily Locke is hit por a car and gives birth to John. Locke’s birthday is May 30, 1956. However, she is listening to Buddy Holly’s “Everyday,” a song not released until July of 1957. John Locke may have been special, but I doubt his mother could listento a song one ano before it’s released. Chalk this up to a production error. The interesting side note about this choice of song is that Buddy azevinho, holly died in a plane crash.

Locke was born with the odds against him. The nurse said he was the smallest preemie ever to survive in that hospital and that he knocked out every infection that came his way. He even survived being pushed out an eight-story window as an adult. Obviously, Locke was meant to live.

Horace Goodspeed, in Locke's dream, mentions that he has been dead for 12 years. This places the encontro, data of the Purge on December 19, 1992 (December 19 being Ben's birthday). The man who shows himself to Locke as the architect of Jacob’s cabin, Horace, was none other than the man who stopped por the side of the road the dia Ben was born. If this episode proved anything, it’s that John and Ben are cut from the same cloth, both very special (their mothers even share a first name). Why does Horace say, "Hello there," to Locke in the middle of their conversation in the same way he had just greeted him when they began speaking? He also tells him his name again and he keeps cutting down the same tree. Is the Island replaying this scene over and over again for Locke?

Richard Alpert makes another appearance. How did Richard know about Locke before he was even born? Emily’s mom seemed startled to see him at the hospital. Was she just not expecting to see someone there or was she distressed because it was Richard?

Richard then makes a segundo appearance when he comes to visit a young Locke in his foster home. We learn that Locke had foreseen the existence of the Black Smoke Monster from the drawing he made. Locke did seem spiritually inspired when he first saw it on the island and since then, he constantly asks Ben what it is, hoping to understand this thing he's seen since he was a child.

Among the six objects Richard Alpert shows John Locke to determine which already belonged to him was a comic book called Mystery Tales. This was issue #40, which was published in April of 1956 por Atlas Comics. The cover contains the text "What was the Secret of the Mysterious Hidden Land?" and "Does it Pay to Ignore the Voice of Warning?" This is probably a jab at fãs eager to know the lost island’s secrets. So why did Richard think Locke was special? Which were the items that belonged to John already? Why was he disappointed in Locke's choice? What is the Book of Laws? Is it an ancient bible of the Others?

So is Richard Alpert immortal or is he time traveling? I vote for "not aging" because he seems too steady for time travel. Alpert seems very in-control all the time. Not to mention the fact that if he could time travel, it would make sense for him to take control of Locke earlier in his life. The fact that he keeps coming back into Locke's life at different points suggests to me that he is waiting a few years, and then trying again. If he were time traveling he probably wouldn't have to do that. Also, Ben once asked him "You do remember birthdays, don't you Richard?" That points to ageless.

Sayid takes the jangada back to the island. The captain tells him to stay on a heading of 305 degrees. It is impossible for a heading of 305 to go both from and to the Island. If going to the Island was 305 degrees, the heading back would be 180 degrees less, making it a 125 degree 'back heading'.

Again, a gun did not fogo when pointed at Michael's head (just like in Episode 408, Meet Kevin Johnson) when Michael tried to kill himself). The island must have mais work for Michael to complete before he can die.

The binder for Protocol #2 that Keamy gets from the seguro on the freighter had a DHARMA symbol emblazoned on it. This means that Charles Widmore is using DHARMA technology against the island. What is the secondary protocol? What is the device strapped to Keamy's arm? The device that Keamy is using is a Korg Digital Metronome MA-30. (It looks like the prop-men added a few bits and pieces.) Is this a WMD or does this indicate that Keamy and his men are also in possession of the same time travel technology? Those devices could be some Orchid Station prototype. Most importantly, this further muddles the divides between Ben and Widmore. They clearly know each other’s moves and now they apparently possess each other’s technology. Also, where is the "one place" that Ben would go to hide, as stated por Keamy on the ship?

Though música expert Charlie had never heard of Geronimo Jackson, John Locke is quite connected to the band that may or may not have ever existed in the real world. Back in season 2, in the Hatch, Locke made a special note of their album while flipping through the música collection. Later we saw Eddie, the undercover cop at the commune Locke stayed at, wearing a Geronimo Jackson shirt. In “Cabin Fever,” during Locke’s high school flashback, he had a poster of the band hanging in his locker. Also the guy in the fotografia above the poster is English explorer Sir Richard burton (1821 - 1890).

The company sponsoring the science camp teenage Locke’s teacher tried to get him to attend, Mittelos Laboratories, was the same corporation Richard Alpert convinced Juliet to cadastrar-se in Portland. . Why did they want to recruit Locke for Mittelos Bioscience Science Camp?

Matthew Abaddon makes an appearance. Why is Abaddon interested in Locke? He suggests a walkabout. What happened during his walkabout? Abbadon's name has Biblical significance as the name of the angel guarding the abyss. And in Greek it means "the destroyer" or "destruction."

How did Doc Ray's body wash up on the island before he had been killed off the island?

One of the best scenes of the night was Hurley passing Ben half of his Apollo bar. That act severed the last ‘Other’ thread between Ben and the 815’ers. It was Hugo’s way of saying “Hey, you’re one of us now”. It also marked Ben’s apparent demotion from evil island warlord to just another one of the cool kids. The lack of dialogue made the scene. Why is Ben no longer the "chosen" one?

Where is Jacob, and why are Christian and Claire in his cabin? Why was Claire so calm and nonchalant? Why did Christian ask Locke not to tell anyone that he saw Claire in the cabine with him? How does Christian know Keamy and his men are being on their way back to the island?

Dead, undead, alive? What’s up with Claire? When she was in the cabin, was she alive and merely following Christian around? If that's the case, maybe he drugged her because she looked dazed and way too comfortable with the fact that Aaron was somewhere else. Unless, of course, Christian told her something really interesting and she really does believe that she needs to be with him right now. Of course, there's no way of knowing whether whatever he's been telling her is the truth.

Or, the other option: Claire has died. That would explain her presence in the magical cabin. However, if that's the case, we still have no idea how she died, or what Christian is up to, or why the dead people on the Island still seem so alive.

“How do I save the island?” Apparently, that was the pergunta that needed to be asked and now Locke has received his direction—move the island. Maybe they aren't going to physically mover the island, but mover it in time so that Widmore's goons can't find it.

And finally, I was just starting to like the captain and Keamy had to go and kill him. So everyone who is in favor of Keamy dying a horrible death please raise your hand.
