The Hybrid Theory id the debut Album por Linkin Park, released on 24th October through Warner Bros Records. As some of us may know, Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson, formed the band "Xero" while they were in High School. Years later,after recruiting Joe hahn,Dave "Phoenix" Ferrel, and Mark Wakefield,hey aimed at producing a record deal when tension and stress eventually got Mark Wakefield to leave the band.
After spending quite some time looking for someone to replace Wakefield (who was Xero's vocalist at that time), Jeff Blue, the vice president of Zomba música suggested they recruit Chester Bennington, former Grey Daze band member. People found Chester's unique cantar style to be very amusing, and the band agreed on changing it's name to The Hybrid Theory. Later on the band changed it's name, once again, to Linkin Park, dedicated to Santa Monica's lincoln Park.
Despite these changes, Linkin Park couldn't set a recording deal. After facing numerous rejections from a number of huge record deals, the band turned to Jeff Blue for additional help. Jeff Blue, now the Vice President of Warner Bros Records, helped them set a deal with the company in 1999. The band released the album the following year.
