It\'s safe to say that everyone\'s weekend was officially ruined by the rumours that One Direction\'s Liam Payne and girlfriend Sophia Smith have called it quits on their relationship. She was the last 1D WAG standing fgs, surely it couldn\'t be the end.

But after the whole fandom made a group decision to ignore the goss \'til either of Sophiam commented on it, some fans reckon that Payno may have gone and confirmed the break up during 1D\'s show in Newcastle last night.

We\'ve hunted high and low for video evidence of this tres important revelation, but apparently every single member of the Newcastle OTRA crowd was feeling way too excited to record Liam\'s revealing speech, so we\'re gonna have to trust Twitter on this one.

He was chatting to the crowd just before the boys launched into \'Where Do Broken Hearts Go\', and according to tons of 1D fans\' tweets from the gig, he got pretty emotional when he introduced it.

If Sophiam really is over (sob hiccup blub), then the potential break up could explain a lot of the stuff that\'s been rumoured to have been going on for Liam in One Direction recently, and fans are starting to put two and two together.

Seeing as it was so unlike Liam to pull out of a One Direction show at the very last minute, could it have been as a result of him and Sophia calling time on their two year relationship that night?
