She’s an advocate of high-end fashion couture but now Lady Gaga is cantar the praises of designer knock-offs, too.
Gaga revealed that she bought counterfeit designer gear on last month’s trip to Japan.
“In Tokyo, they have all these stores that have fake Chanel and Versace,” she said. “And I’m an Italian from New York, so I still buy it. This jaqueta is a fake.”
Gaga was talking to a group of fãs in the US last week and advised them to go shopping in thrift stores and customise their own purchases rather than shell out their life savings on expensive garb.
Interestingly, she vowed last June to wear nothing but Versace for two months as she was having a “love affair” with Donatella’s designs. Looks like the amor affair may be over now.
