mover to japan?

seguinte ano I'll be old enough to work, and I want to spend my summer vacations working so that I can visit Japan. I'm pretty sure I'll amor it, and if that happens I want to study there after college, and maybe mover there. But I'm portuguese and I'm afraid I may not adapt. Of course I'll study the language, but still.. Is there anyone who moved to Japão and can tell me if it was difficult to adapt and if living there was what you were expecting or something else (better? worse?). Are japanese people friendly? And I'm studying arts, so do you think I have a chance to find a job there? Thank you (:

I live in NY and i never been to Japão so i dont how it is there....but if u want try to see how life you should go 4 it and mabey ask a friend to go w/ u.And I dont know if the japanese are freindly like honestly im kinda nervous of them b/c i never tlk 2 a Japanese person.lol but mabey you might make a friend in my opion,u should go for it :)
