I know a lot of males who actually got emotional at Jim's confession, however they are not as active in fandom stuff as girls are. Plus, I think a lot of guys don't want other people to know that they actually like romance xD I agree with HouseOfficeFan7, males are mostly prone to anime/manga stuff, while even shows like 'Heroes' mostly have females in them, despite it being a 'action' shows. Fandoming is more of a girl thing mostly because girls can be teased for liking this kind of stuff. Especially manga/anime girls like myself I have NEVER told any of my friends that I like it, because I know they would treat me like a nerd.
