i suggest using a latin root and going from there.
4 instance, a word like obscurum (darkness) can go in2 obscura
morsus (pain) can become morsusi
metus (fear) can become mertrus
jus take and change some things around.u can do it with any language, i just like latin best and it's fitting 4 HP cuz most of the spells have Latin roots. in fact, my 1 OC is happy because if she waves her wand and says her name fogo shoots out. her name is Incendia, Latin for Fire
here's a good translating site

It doesn't even have to be a name. It could be like Gandolf the White. Balthazar the __________.

If you really want a last name, though, then you could try Balthazar Obsidion, Balthazar Randal, Balthazar Meldorf... I'm terribly sorry. I'm not the best at coming up with names.

He could not have a last name, so it could be mysterious. And isn't Balthazer from the magician apprentice film with Nicholas cage?

maybe something close to prodigiosus
it's latin for amazing (just a word that popped into my head when u mentioned dumbledore :)
but you shouldn't go with just the latin word, you should always change it a bit or add something to it
