Chapter 14 B
She was standing at the side of the Lake looking at her watch, it was 10.28 pm. She almost hadn’t made it because David wanted to talk to her about a few changes in a scene which they are going to shoot tomorrow. Luckily she had gotten away in time. She had quickly changed into the sweater Hugh had given her earlier that evening and smiled as it fitted perfectly. She looked up at the Lake, but couldn’t really see anything as it had gotten too dark. At exactly 10.30 she felt her phone vibrating, she had gotten a text message from Hugh. ‘Dear Lisa, there is a small flashlight in the pocket of your sweater, please put it on so I can see where you are. Love, Hugh.’ Lisa smiled and reached into the pocket, there was indeed a very small flashlight in it which she switched on immediately.
After half a minuto she heard some water splash and tried to focus her flashlight on it so she could see what had caused it. That’s when she saw Hugh rowing to her in a small boat. He arrived at the ‘beach’ within a minute, where she was waiting for him. He stepped out of the barco and kneeled in front of her while holding out his hand, ‘Care to cadastrar-se me my lady?’ Lisa was stunned and the only thing that came out of her mouth was a faint ‘god yes’. She placed her hand in his and he led her to the boat. While Lisa made herself a little comfortable, Hugh lit 3 candles. The candles were put in glasses so the wind wouldn’t blow them out immediately. A few tears slid across Lisa’s face as she saw the complete bottom of the barco was covered with roseleaves. Hugh pushed the barco into the water and rowed away a little before looking up at Lisa.
He went to sit seguinte to her and the first thing she did was climbing on topo, início of him, wrapping her tiny frame around him and kiss him passionately. During their kiss tears fell from her eyes, Hugh could taste them as they mixed with their passion. He brushed and kissed her tears away and put his forehead against hers. ‘Do you like your present?’, he asked. She laughed softly, ‘I amor it, I can’t believe you’ve done all this for me…’ Hugh smiled and kissed her again, ‘And this is only the beginning…’, he added. Lisa smiled, ‘Then let’s stay here, because I don’t want to get closer to the end.’ ‘There doesn’t have to be an end Leese. Not everything has to have an opposite, humanity likes us to think that, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Just because there is a beginning it doesn’t mean there has to be an end.’, Hugh said and kissed her again.
Hugh was rowing again and as Lisa’s eyes had gotten accustomed to the dark and the soft light the moon was giving them allowed her to see and enjoy the beauty of the night around them. ‘It’s so peaceful here, so amazing…’, Lisa said. ‘It really is, it’s calming and let you sort out your thoughts and clear your mind. It’s so different from LA, not that I don’t amor LA, but sometimes you just have to get out of there.’, Hugh said. ‘Yeah…’, Lisa whispered, she didn’t want to ruin the silence of the night. ‘Where are we going?’, she asked softly. ‘You’ll see…’, Hugh said and gave her a loving smile.
They talked for a while before Hugh suddenly rowed to what seemed the side of the Lake. Lisa watched curiously where he was taking her. They ended up in a small stream which in its turn ended in what Hugh had now told her was the middle of an island. They got out of the barco and Hugh grabbed her hand as he started walking uphill. Behind the small colina stood a tiny wooden house. He led her to the house and stopped in front of the door. ‘I hope you like it… you may open the door.’, he said and squeezed her hand. She curiously opened the door and almost burst out in tears as she saw what must be a hundred candles surrounding the one-room house. There were two trails of roseleaves, one of which led to the huge cama in the middle of the room and the other one leading to what seemed to be a hot bubble bath. seguinte to the bath stood two glasses and a bottle of champagne covered in ice, a very small chocolate fonte and lots of fresh strawberries.
‘This… this is too much… Hugh.. this.. I…’, she stumbled and let her tears flow. ‘How did you do this? Why… and just because of me?’, she was still stumbling and Hugh wrapped his arms around her and kissed the topo, início of her head. ‘Because you deserve it, because I want to give it to you, because I amor you…’, he said and looked down. Her breaths increased at his last words as her skipped a beat. ‘You amor me?’, she asked unbelievingly. ‘More than anything.’, he said and with that they both lost it and made amor until deep in the night…
