Well...we have a month to pine & whine about our favorite topic. Ho ho hum, I was sure hoping for some Holiday type cheer from PPTH. Lucas = lump of coal in your stocking. C wouldn't even take H's peace offering/animal pet zoo tickets, so I guess a Huddy gift exchange is out...not even a little merry mistletoe to tempt a Huddy moment? 2010 HAS to be the Huddy Year ! ! Writers...you'll have 365 new days to come up with the grandest "hook up" of all time. Peace on Earth-Goodwill to Huddys.

House/Cuddy
Jack/Liz
Brennan/Booth
Ca/Gil
Elliot/Olivia.

Anyone noticing a pattern here? yeah thats right, none of them get any action, and when they do, its fake *sobs*

B & B had a "dream like" hook up at the end of last season. Sounds familiar?

Don't worry you didn't spoil anything actually...I have already been suspecting it was too good to be true XD.

They could be at least a bit more creative :P

pure rebellion & all:
I read an article by the creator of the xfiles awhile ago, and he basically said - he never truly hooked up mulder/scully because he thought that would signal the end of the show, that there was no where to go after that - except to show them cleaning house, doing the dishes and daily stuff of life. No more tension, no more show. I don't agree, but that may be one reason why our favorite tv couples don't hook up. The sheer possibility of "the big hook-up" is like a carrot or candy they dangle in front of us...to stay tuned. Look what happened to Cam/Chase. If I were a huge fan of that ship...I'd be totally bummed, didn't even get to see them do anything together really, after their walk down the aisle - hook-up.
I think Huddies have much bigger dreams to fill ! ! ! !

hmmm
The thing is Bluehue I don't agree either 'cause the tension doesn't need to fade on my mind....First a couple made of two screwed up person(like House and Cuddy or B&B) can't come out that happily-ever-after right away....there's a process...they can finally face their feelings one in front of the other and start to have some sort of relationship but at the beginning it must be necessarly just some sort of phisical thing. Then they'll find the urge to define their status as a couple...maybe they'll split up for a while 'cause one of them is not that sure or able to take responsability....or god knows there are lots of possibilitties, I am not a writer! But surely they can do better than that!
They'll probabily need to end up together at the end of a season so writers can think about the developing of their relationship and start the new season with something new....They can't be happy right away, there must be some difficulties, some split up, some jealousis...there are lots of things they can do to make it alive and compelling....but at least fans can a have a few pleasant memories and isn't is actually more real? I mean two people obviously in love with each other....how much can they avoid their feelings and ignore the sexual tension?!

Beatrix: You made me think of something I hadn't really thought of before, that is, showing us the Luddy arc is a way of revealing how screwed up Cuddy is too, giving her a chance to try her hand at a ship, (that will sink-we think), like Housey did.
In that sense, it is putting them on more equal footing. It is also a way for House to see Cuddy in a different light AND for himself to focus on this - how much does he truly want her ? (Now that he seemingly, cannot have her, age old question).

It is no longer status quo at PPTH, rather it has become a chaotic place this season, life & people are moving on. It will be interesting to see (along with W/others) what H/Cu decide is important enough to hold on to, hopefully each other. The physical thing is never enough, that is why, I don't think Lucas will last. Cuddy respects House's mind too much to ever let that go. IF they do hook up, I so agree with you, I don't see why on earth the writer's could not step up & deliver a series of epic stories based on one enduring crazy love - the sex, respect, playfulness, break-ups/make-ups, the whole big wide world of two people..what are they afraid of, that we'd be bored ?
No way ! ! I swear, it would almost be a first in tv history.
(This down time makes me blather on & on...sorry).

That's exaclty my point! What's so boring about a possible relationship between the two of them? I don't get it. I first thought myself it could mean the end of the show but seriously there's so much there to write about (let alone the fact that Hous is not only about characters' personal stories thanks God!:P) that I just hope creators will have the guts to explore that part without assuming it would mean necessarily sth dead on arrival.
About Cuddy....she is exactly as screwed up as House. The thing is we have been used to look at her from a different angle. If you think about it, the previous seasons (although they always have hinted to their chemistry since day one) she was just the strong rational woman who was to defy House's crazy plans...she was the good guy, playing the bad cop's part just in order to save his ass and try to protect the lives of the patients (even if House in the end was always right XD....how much I miss him!!!) We have been used to look at her from an "Housian" perspective but we have never really focused on HER as a person, as a woman....her needs, her fears...she is apparently a succesful woman but as a fact she is totally alone: no friends, no boyfriend, no family, no personal life at all....Wilson is screwed up but at least he tries....he collected 3 divorces for heaven's sake! That should count for sth...She is just as isolated and scary and incapable of a real relationship as House has always been.
Now for the first time she is been opening up....I read an interesting post on the Huli spot I think....one of the fans around here suggested it to me...I think it was ItalianHuddy...Anyway a guy was saying that on his mind this whole Luddy arc was just Cuddy freaking out in front of the real possibility of a relationship with House. She knew House was ready, she knew the relationship she has been waiting for for so long was now within reach but the idea of letting herself being involved in something so complicated made her freak out and istead of working that up, she sort of buyed herself some time, taking refuge in a more confortable relationship, with a man she likes but she isn't really crazy for. Maybe it's a bit too tortuos but it fits in my opinion.

BTW It's a damn down time for everyone around here so I truly apreaciate your blathering...it makes me feel like House is still on these days =,) Sorry for my blathering too ;)
