Exclusive: House Boss On Finale Fallout: House Wasn't Trying To Kill Cuddy 

Glad that he's FINALLY trying to make nice nice with us.
But it was still a dumb thing to do in the season finale. He shouldn't have to release something like this for us.

Sounds like DS is doing damage control. I think he's missing the point. It doesn't really matter whether or not House was TRYING to kill someone, I think most people are upset because his actions COULD have killed somebody. It was an irrational, uncharacteristic move that COULD very well have resulted in the deaths of people he supposedly cares about very much. Whether he meant to kill anyone or not, it is still upsetting to me and to other people, because his actions don't seem like those of the character I've loved for the past seven seasons.

The Powers That Be have made a BIG mistake, so they're gonna do and say everything they can to try to rectify that mistake.

Guys I think you are missing the point. House was not trying to kill anyone, and that is what I have been trying to explain from the minute we all watched the finale. He was IRRATIONAL! Because House is and has always been the most RATIONAL of men, this behaviour should tell you that what he saw affected him to a point where he was NOT thinking straight anymore.

Also for those going on about Rachel, she was not even there! Cuddy said to the cop, I need to call my mother and fetch my child! So Rachel was either with Julia's brood or with her gran.

Look at is actions from his point of view. He lost the woman he loves, he goes to her under the auspices of returning her brush (which BTW he could have done just as easily at the hospital) perhaps with the hopes of a tentative understanding toward reconciliation, but instead sees her "moving on" without him.

SNAP.......his mind fractures under the stress and pain and he does something he would never otherwise do. Also I don't think he planned it. He was driving away! But then the anger, jealousy and mind numbing hurt finally catches up and he reacts violently.

If you cannot understand where he was coming from mentally and emotionally then you have never been in love. I mean truly in love. The kind of deep uncontrollable feeling that makes you behaves like an idiot. The kind of feeling that makes your entire body burn like you have fever, just at the thought of your lover with someone else!


You must keep in mind, when that was filmed EVERYONE was under the impression that LE would be back. So House would not have been on a mission to kill her. Had they known then that she would bail on them perhaps DS would have let that happen. But I suspect that his end game for this series was a very emotional decleration of love or perhaps a proposal. I beleive that by the end Huouse and Cuddy would have ended up together failing which House finally gets what he seems to be after, death!

Glad you are back! =) Actually, I am currently in love with my boyfriend, madly so. I would NEVER do anything that could possibly seriously injure or kill him. I'd sooner kill myself. That is what real love is, never being able to EVER even consider hurting the other person. Do I understand that House felt angry and upset? Sure. But I can't understand or condone his actions.

BTW I just tweeted your fist post up there BEGGING someone on TW, whoever might have Shore or Jacobs's twitter or people's close to them, to RT your comment cause you totally nailed the issue with the whole fandom :) I'm 100% with you and everybody who feels the same about this show at the moment.

@jessicat thanks for the prop :) I'm ok, really. I'm just finishing revising my thesis which is due to be hand in tomorrow, so I'll be free, hopefully, soon enough :)

I've not been around much also because, I must admit, I sort of felt like quite shattered by the course the show had taken and I didn't feel like posting much. I don't mean the finale, but the whole second arc of the season just felt very much OOC to me and I didn't like the Taub story-arc to be that prominent or the fact that Lisa was given so poor screen time, since her character used to (once upon a time, when this show still rocked) one the best, funniest TV famale character ever. An ass kicker really and quite a turn-on to quote our beloved :) Sexy and smart...and well, I do think what's left is an empy shell of whatever they think they know about a woman like her after a sloppy-written break-up with the man she loved for seven years....

Well, I think that sums it up XD Almost LOL Anyway they are pissing me off with their damage-control strategy, really, but I'm always the same after all. I tend to laugh it out in the end. BTW @MsHouseFan on her website posted Ocasio's interview with Podcast, or sth like that. It's a riot really. They guys can't stop laughing at how ridiculous House's finale was and you truly end up laughing your socks out with them, even if you are a die-hard fan like us. Well, I guess this is good, isn't it? Means we are past denail, through acceptance and heading to bargaining XD Check it out if you wish :)

@Bea, I'm glad you are ok.=) I finished my thesis last year. It was definitely a lot of work, but felt so rewarding once it was completed. I understand how you feel about House. I feel the exact same way. I feel angry and disappointed about most of season 7. I'll have to check out that interview. laurik (I think?) posted a link here on the Huddy spot, to a video called "season 7 in less than 2 minutes". That was pretty funny, too. Humor definitely helps.
