por seguinte day, Wilson burst in Pitt’s office and walked straight to the doctor’s bourbon table. Pitt looked at him as he poured liquid into two empty shot glasses with eyes bloodshot red from silent crying. The oncologist walked over to him and gave the other glass before taking his assento and sipping from him scotch. Wilson wasn’t meeting Pitt’s gaze as he twirl his glass.
Pitt: Any reason to celebrate?
Wilson shook his head and stood up and walked a few steps away as he looked outside with both hands in his side pockets before giving a heavy sigh.
Wilson: I’m giving up…
Pitt as well gave a heavy sigh. He knows it’s painful but he also knows, it’s the right thing for Wilson to do.
Pitt: <stammered> I…
Wilson: I can’t be chasing her forever…
Pitt: Glad you realized…
Wilson turned to look at him.
Wilson: Last night, I urged her to stay. Have a few mais drinks. But she preferred to be here than enjoy herself out… ---- There’s no way, I can take her away…
Pitt: I guess… She’s enjoying herself out here anyway…
Wilson sighed and took the assento before Pitt again.
Pitt: You sure about this? --- I mean, no mais backing outs?
Wilson shook his head and Pitt gave a nod.
An hora later, the door opened in the same office. House appeared on the doorway and Wilson and Pitt looked at him. His friend happened to notice half of his arm was still outside the doorway and when he pulled it in, there was Cuddy standing seguinte to him. He was holding her hand and she did as well with his. Pitt gave them the look as they stood there before them before looking at Wilson who stood up.
House: Hey…
Wilson: <Nodded> Hey…
Cuddy looked at House.
Cuddy: I need to talk to Rick…
House nodded and let her hand go as Wilson watched them. The oncologist’s world almost ended the moment House leaned down and kissed Cuddy on the forehead as she closed her eyes in disbelief that House had done that sweet gesture. Wilson started gathering his belongings and started making his way out of the room. He tapped House’s shoulder and tried to smile to Cuddy before totally leaving the office. Not long after, House left the room as well.
Cuddy was still in Pitt’s office, having some chá while leitura House’s progress denunciar and Pitt was looking at her, after a few minutes. Although she wasn’t looking back at him, she could feel his piercing gaze on her so she glanced up to look back at him.
Cuddy: What?
Pitt made a smirk and leaned on his chair.
Pitt: Nothing… Never thought I would see House that happy…
Cuddy rolled her eyes and placed the cup and denunciar down.
Cuddy: It’s nothing.
Pitt: I say nothing, you say nothing. You know where we’re heading, nothing.
Cuddy: It’s not a big deal…
Pitt: Lisa, it’s a big deal. Are you and House already are together?
Cuddy rolled her eyes again and began leitura the denunciar once more.
Pitt: I was wondering ----
Cuddy: Why is his mental chart shows no progress?
Pitt: Oh c’mon, don’t deflect ---
Cuddy: I’m not ---
Cuddy gave the chart to him which he himself looked on.
Cuddy: His last clinic visit was two weeks ago…
Pitt: <sighed> Maybe the doctor ---
Cuddy: You’re his doctor…
Pitt: Oh, it’s not just me. We are three in this case and I only handle few of his sessions now.
Cuddy: Who’s the other two?
Pitt: Bridget and Goldstein.
Cuddy got up and started dialing up a phone number.
Cuddy: Tell them to get off the case, I’m bringing in someone.
Pitt: House requested them to handle his case ---
Cuddy: Rick…
Pitt: Okay, okay, okay. I’ll make some calls.
He closed the file and stared at her again as she got someone on the line.
Cuddy: Yes, this is Dr. Lisa Cuddy ---- Uh-huh, from Princeton-Plainsboro ---- May I talk with Dr. Cate Milton, please? ---- Oh, thank you ---- I’ll just call her later then ---- Thank you
Cuddy shut her phone down.
Pitt: You’re bringing in Cate Milton?!
Cuddy: I’m sure he wouldn’t mind…
Pitt: He’ll be surprise and might be… mad about your decision… This isn’t your call…
Cuddy: For some reasons, this is part of MY call. He wouldn’t mind…
Pitt: For some reasons? Like what? ---- Lisa… Are you and House already involved?
Cuddy sighed and rubbed a few fingers on her forehead while looking slightly down.
Pitt: Any reason to celebrate?
Wilson shook his head and stood up and walked a few steps away as he looked outside with both hands in his side pockets before giving a heavy sigh.

I was leitura up on opiate withdrawal and apparently you can go through withdrawal not just to stop taking the drug, Vicodin in House’s case, but to reduce the amount you’re taking.
So in House’s case, like Wilson said; his Vicodin levels where way to high and so the only option was to let his body recover and reduce it’s need for that amount it got everyday.
Therefore, the seguinte morning when he was seemingly better; it was because of the extreme cold-turkeyness that House used to reduce his levels of Vicodin in order for his hallucination of Amber to go away. So I don’t think it was a hallucination, because he hasn’t quit Vicodin, he has only reduced the amount he takes within the o espaço of a horrible 24 hora detox. His body no longer craves the Vicodin every hora or so like before.
Short and simple :)
