Everyone is familiar with the usual branches of horror: Jump Scares, Torture Porn, Psychotic Slasher, Unspeakable Evil, Domineering Villainy etc. Yet in today's current media stream we are slowly seeing the demise of one of the greatest mediums of the horror genre. Psychological. Now, I know some of you know what this genre is but to those who do not it is based on the emotional and psychological aspect of the main character/characters por either exploiting or twisting them in ways that drive them to a fine breaking point. From films such as "Jacobs Ladder" to even video games such as "System...

47 Meters Down is a 2017 British survival horror film directed por Johannes Roberts, and starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. It was released on June 16, 2017.

I just got back from seeing this and WOW! All I have to say is wow. Let's just dive (pun intended) right in to my review. This will contain no spoilers.

The film starts out with sisters Lisa (Mandy Moore) and Kate (Claire Holt) on vacation in Mexico. Within 5 minutes, we know that Lisa's deadbeat of a boyfriend Stuart dumped her because she wasn't fun enough for him and he was bored with their relationship. Lisa is still pining for him...

So, I've been on fanpop for about a ano and 3 months or so now and in that time, I think I have only written maybe 1 or 2 artigos so I'm not really familiar with these. But I had been thinking about doing this for awhile in this spot, and since it's 1 am it's the perfect time! I always come up with the best ideas when I'm supposed to be sleeping. So anyway, here is my list of topo, início 10 favorito horror movies. They might include some spoilers, so beware.

One
A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984

I amor this movie SO much! It's so weird because Dia das bruxas used to be my favorito horror movie, but upon...

I made link about half a ano ago. My how things have changed. I'm sure in another 6 months or so, I'll look back at this coming list and reconsider another article. But here I am...here we are! One thing you will learn about me (and quick) is that I'm a person with a fickle mind - sure, I will always have my solid favoritos which will always be in my list, but they don't have a set number. I will change my mind whenever I feel like it. I don't LIE when I say "A Nightmare on Elm Street" is my favorito horror movie, because it IS. It has been my number 1, my number 2, even my number 20. Things...

I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but I haven't quite come up with the best way HOW to do it and I finally figured it out. Here's what we're going to do:

link, and of course everyone has seen them. They are compiled based on user ratings of the film. So I thought what a great idea it would be to have the fanpop users in this spot make their own! imdb & fanpop have a little bit of a different demographic between each other so this should be really interesting. If you would like to participate, please read the small list of rules I have below! :)

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Nightmare 2
New Line Cinema is already making a sequel to the very successful Nightmare remake, which will have Jackie Earle (Rorschach) Haley reprising his role as Freddy Krueger. It's rumored that it will be in 3D.

Nightmare 3
Jackie Earle Haley signed up to do three Nightmares. This means that after the segundo one, Jackie will return as Freddy for a third installment.

IT
That's right, in 2011 there's going to be a remake of Stephen King's "IT". The new "IT" will be mais scary and gory. Who knows, Pennywise might actually be scary this time.

Child's Play
Brad Dourif will...

Thanks Cammie for helping me out and interviewing me! You had such amazing questions. Sorry I babbled on for hours :P Also thanks to everyone who voted for me in the FOTM contest. I'm honored :)

1.) Congratulations, you've just won fã Of The mês in the Horror filmes spot! I think you're very deserving of this título but you wanted to re-do the pick - why?
Firstly, thanks so much! That means a lot coming from you, or anyone for that matter! But I asked about re-doing the pick because I mainly felt that it was unfair. Only 10 users voted, and it's not like I exactly gave them a ton of time to...

#11. Halloween. The franchise is OK and Michael Myers is cool, but he is overrated.

#10. Child's Play. Not one of my favorito franchises, but it's OK.

#9. Exorcist. Never seen the filmes and I don't want to, but from what I've heard, they're pretty good.

#8. Poltergeist. Never seen them, but the clown in the first one is pretty fucking scary.

#7. Space Odyssey. These filmes deserve to be #6.

#6. Scream. One of the best film series I've ever seen.

#5. A tie between Puppet Master and Demonic Toys. Great movies. If you haven't seen them, than what the hell are you doing leitura this...

This Monday I was left all alone in my apartment when my family went to London, and Spain to have fun. So I decided to start a Japanese horror movie week!

Monday: Ringu a.k.a The ring.
This was a very good story with good execution, the scares were mild and it had few to no jumpscares. I like it better that way though, it really got under your skin in a different way!

Score: 8/10

Tuesday: Ju-on: The grudge.
Less story, mais scares! This is the type of movie that makes you scared of your environment! I don't want to turn around, open closets, or go to cama right now!
I would have liked a bit more...

Dear Reader,
Almost every single scary movie is the exact same, pretty girl, hot guy, nerd, out siders, they team up or hate each other. Pretty girl usually dies its boring! I mean scary movie watchers are getting to where they can predict the whole movie por the first death and get it right! And when you know whats gonna happen it's no longer scary. There are few newer scary filmes where the watcher actually doesn't know whats gonna happen and if you know any please tell me.

2. Whats your favorito character from a horror movie & what is the movie the character is from?
Slashers and villains aside, my favorito character might be Hot Wheels...

So this 12 ano old girl, Tatiana, decides to invite her favorito horror movie star, Jason, to her house for tea. Jason is so baffled por the invitation, he decides to go, just to meet the girl who sent it. He gets ready, goes to the address, and sees a little girl and her tiny friend waiting at the door. Now the two kids have the biggest grins on their faces, because they just can't believe that he actually came. He doesn't even make it to the doorbell before he's yanked through the door frame, greeted por screams and hugs and blinded por camera flashes!!! he decides to stay, and the only thought in his mind the whole time is,"Holy crap! these girls are lunatics!"
 Death by.. escalator?
Death by.. escalator?
Death. Death death death death death death. That's what you'll get if you go and see the new, and fourth in the series, Final Destination. I've been a pretty big fã of the other films for a while, and so when I heard about this movie I thought it would be fun. And it was. Blood, bad acting, and mais death is about all you get in this flick though.

So the story goes, A kid named Nick and his friends are at a racetrack when a car spins out of control and everything goes to hell. Pretty much everyone dies, and then Nick comes back to reality to see that it was just a vision. They
leave, everyone...
