Hetalia: England Pergunta

Why is Britain the black ovelha, ovelhas of Europe?

Why did France say England is the black ovelha, ovelhas of Europe? I don't think I know all the reasons.

A black ovelha, ovelhas means the odd one out because it is rare to have one in a ovelha, ovelhas flock. So I believe France is trying to get the point across that England is the odd one out in all of Europe.
This is probably because he is an Island situated away from the main part of the E.U.
Where as the rest of europa is joined together were as England is a solitude Island
Hope that helped :)

You're pertaining to geographical reason. Ya, that could be. I remember my professor saying that when he speaks of Europe, he only pertains to Continental Europe. That excludes the British Isles; it's out of the picture. I was thinking it has something to do with England's record in history because Iggy did not want America to know that he is considered black sheep.

I sometimes forget England is a part of europa for that exact reason. History I don't think so England fought in all great European wars including the great war so I don't think it's because of the wars he fought in. Yes the British army made some stupid choices but everyone in europa did.

well, it could refer to geographical location, England being seperated on an Island, but with France it probably has mais to do with British history and the fact that England has spent years ignoring the norm of Europe, such as not taking the euro, due to either our choice our not being allowed to as France worries for their political position due to England's relationship with America. On topo, início of that, there is England's rather bloody history, and their odd "quirks" that are well known today, such as driving on the "wrong" side of the road, drinking a herb, tea, with milk, and their black sense of humour. But mainly, France probably called England the "black sheep" because they have spent the last one thousand years dong anything they can to irritate the french, and becoming very different from the rest of europa in the process.

In calling Britain the black ovelha, ovelhas of europa France refers to the point that Britain is a) not part of continental europa and b) that the UK is often excluded from European issues or refuses to be part of them. Britain does not want America to know as America often pokes his nose in and tries to influence Britain due to the "special relationship" between their governments (but not the characters obvs) and if America doesn't know... he isn't going to try and annoy Iggy about it and stick his remo in...

I'm not entirely sure, but it's probably due to the fact that the UK is an island separated from continental Europe. It's always "UK & Europe" not "some other European country & Europe".

Also, think of how the UK has a much greater influence on pop culture. How many books, bands, filmes and celebrities from he UK can you name? In the meantime, how many of these from continental europa can you name? The UK is also the only member of the Anglosphere in Europe.

It's due to the fact Britain is an island and is not a part of continental europa and the fact the British tend to go their own way especially during the reign of the Great British Empire.

What makes me laugh is i have quite a diverse friendship group meaning i have friends from other countries and they like to call me the black ovelha, ovelhas of the group.
