Possibly. But it wasn't James that caused their friendship to go downhill, it was Snape's love for the Dark Arts. Had he not been so interested in the Dark Arts she might have fallen for him. It'd be the same if James didn't exist.
She could have loved him but not in the same way he loved her. His love was so deep and never ended. I don't think that she would have loved him that much.
well, J.K. said once that if Severus hadn't been friends with the other death eaters and if they had stayed friends, she would have fallen in love with him (probably), so yes

Agreed!
If the question would be: Do you think (If Snapes love for the Dark Arts hadn't existed but James had exist) Lily could have loved Severus in the same way he loved her?
Possibly. He wouldn't have been bullied as much so his "friendship" with the Future-Death-Eaters students wouldn't have seemed as important. The Levicorpus incident wouldn't have taken place.

Than I would pick yes.
