Do you see similarities between Harry/Ginny and James/Lily?

I know I do. I saw an image of Harry and Ginny together and mistook it for James and Lily. They look so much alike - Harry is identical to his father except for his eyes, and Ginny has dark red hair, like Lily did. But not only that, their personalities are similar as well. James and Harry tend to get into trouble and bend the rules often, and they both have a somewhat arrogant streak, in my opinion. Harry is the leader among his friends, as was James. They were both Quidditch masters. Then, Ginny is stubborn, strong, feisty, and a talented witch. JKR said that Lily was somewhat a "catch" and many boys had romantic feelings for her at some point - and the same is reflected in Ginny.

What do you think? What other patterns do you see between the generations?

To me, it was James' personality in Ginny and Lily's personality in Harry. Lily's looks in Ginny and James' looks in Harry. Harry also had Lily's eyes (of course). But then there are streaks of Lily in Ginny and streaks of James in Harry. They really are alike, which is part of the reason why I think they got together in the end.
