No, Rowling did not kill off her hero, whom she carefully pieced together and developed over the course of seven books. Instead her villian, otherwise known as Voldemort was killed. If Harry died, Rowling's entire philosophy of amor and hope, would have been destroyed, therefore contradicting her own words. I highly reccommend you read the Deathly Hallows because it was a phenomenal finale to the epic series!!:)
No he doesn't. He finds out in Deathly Hallows from someone's memories that Voldemort attatched a piece of his soul to Harry's coração so in order for Voldemort to be destroyed, Harry must be too. Which means that if Voldemort kills Harry, he is really killing himself, but Voldemort doesn't know that, so he kills Harry. However, Harry was able to come back to life because he was protected por his mother's spirit: Voldemort had taken some of her blood believing that then Harry would be unprotected from him. Then when Harry comes back to life he pretends to still be dead. Then Voldemort was mortal and could die, so Harry killed him. No, Harry does not die. That would be mucho sad. :( My wonderful try at explaining it to someone who has not read the books. It's like trying to explain clouds to a blind person, lol.
the last book was a major slaughter for a lot of main characters and minior ones too (she killed off my favourite character *sniff*) but Harry survives :/
YAY! Everyone has to amor snape, well maybe thats an exagerration but........SHE KILLED OVER HALF MY FAVS! Lets see Severus, Tonks, Lupin, Sirius, Lily and Mad eye!
Sort of, if you posted this pergunta then you should be aware that spoilers are inevidable, as below.
Harry went to Voldemort, ready to die for everyone in the world, to save them. Voldemort killed him, but because of their blood link he passed out. Harry was taken (mentally) to platform 9/3/4 where he met Dumbledore and they talked about many things, including Dumbledore's own past and the Deathly Hallows. At the end, Harry was given a choice, to go 'on' or to come back and help defeat Voldemort. He came back.
I would strongly recommend for you to read the books. Others have already explained it to you, so I guess it's not necessary for me to repeat it, but let me tell you; it's WAY exciting and tense in the book! All the books are far better than the movies, and I don't trust the current director to get Deathly Hallows right. So, I'm just saying, Deathly Hallows was AMAZING.
One thing nobody explained yet: the reason Harry didn't actually die from the Avada Kedavera curse is because Harry himself is a horcrux (though Voldemort does not know this).
