harry potter Pergunta

Can ghosts touch or in any way mover inanimate objects?

I know Peeves the Poltergaist can, but he's not the same as a ghost. And I remember that ghosts (of course) can not eat anything...But is there any canon or official implication whether or not they can touch inanimate objects or in anyway mover them around?

No matter how much afraid of death you might be...why would you ever want choose to get stuck here forever if you literally couldn't do anything except float around and talk to people? SUre it might be fun for a while to spook the muggles, but...stilll, if you couldn't do anything but float around and talk...

Anyway....I really need to know if there's any canon or official confirmation as for the ghosts powers?

I read somewhere that Myrtle can splash water from the toilets she haunts. Doesn't this practically mean they can touch stuff if they want to? But I wonder then, why mostly Peeves is described doing so and not the ghosts any mais than that one bit with Myrtle...

No, Nearly Headless Nick persuaded Peeves to crash the vanishing cabinet over Filch's office (CoS, pg 129).
