What is this?

It is in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie and I really don't know what it is... It could be the locket or something like that, but I imagined it a little bit bigger...

I have just seen the trailer and it is that one with Harry and Dumbledore in the cave...that thing has a chain, so it would rather be the locket than the ring, but I can't tell, because those were just brief scenes...Either harry is holding it or Dumbledore...
