I think in Rosalie's case, It's not that she diddn't have special skills.
SHE DIDDNT CARE. that has nothing to do with Rosalie, she doesnt even want to be a vampire , let alone one with wicked talents.

I think the thing that Rosalie suffered from and couldnt handle was the fact, that she would never experience a whole human and centimental life.
She wanted to get married , have babies, have friends, grow old with the man she loved , Listen to her granchildren's laughter and see them play while she sits on the portch. She wanted a beautiful HUMAN life.
Like , i thinkk that fact of not being a living person, who can't enjoy the simple pleasures of life, who can't grow a family or grow old with their lover is alot more harder to deal with then not being to cast spells.

I think it would be hard though to be surrounded by all those wonderful things 24/7 and never be able to do it yourself. that's why Filch is so bitter. he's jealous.

Being a squib is worse than having no special skills. I would hate to have everyone around me doing magic and I can't. That would totally suck major suckage. Although I feel a little bad for Rosalie, at least she still has her looks.

I'd prefer to be a squib, if forced to live in the wizarding world.

I would find it rough for a person that didn't want to be a vampire, a person who already had set goals and dreams that required being human. Being a squib doesn't stop you from being human, nor does it force you to be anything but normal.

Personally, I find them the exact same thing.

Rosalie is a vampire who wants to experience the magic of being human and can't. Flich is a squib and wants to experience the magic (pardon the pun :p) of being a wizard. Both of them are on the outside looking in: Rosalie surrounded by humans when she can't be one, Flich surrounded by wizards when he can't be one, and neither of them are particularly happy being what they are.

im sorry being a vampire means that you are stronger and faster than humans whereas a squib is essentially a muggle. being a squib is much much worse

At least Rosalie has beauty :P

But being a squib is much worse! Not being able to do magic like other can, when you're living in a magical world..it's so sad :(

Both fates would suck horribly though.

Yea, both fates would suck, I wouldn't want to be a vampire anyway. But being a wizard is much more practical so I guess it was suck more to end up as a squib...

because if u were born in a magical family and u dont have any magical abilities you'd feel left out and it would be hard having to listen to all the good things ur bro/sis got up to at hogwarts or where ever they wentx

Isn't Rosalie's "power" supposed to be this great seductive beauty or something? Sure, it's a sucky power, and I don't even think being pretty can be counted as a power, but Esme has "being caring", Carlisle has "being strong" and Bella has, oh yes, "being able to protect Edward."
So overall, I'd say Rosalie had one of the best powers. Anyway, Smeyer said it was very rare for vampires to HAVE special powers (even though half her glorified Cullen clan do), so Rosalie would only be like the majority of the vampire population, whereas there aren't a lot of Squibs in the Wizarding World. Most, like Mrs. Figg, choose to live in the Muggle world because they are kind of just like Muggles, and the other Squib we learn about is Filch, who is embittered (he's not like the others and so is bitter, so the children don't like him and are always using magic against him.)

@Cassie: Sure, being a Squib doesn't mean you can't be normal, but that's the point. Filch doesn't want to be normal, or human.

There are many 'ordinary' vampires with no skill, but Squibs are incredibly rare, and it must feel terrible to have your whole family practice magic and you not able to.

Everyone's arguments for Rosalie's case are not really basing their answers on the question presented to them. It asked to answer based on the parameters listed next to each choice. Her pick mentioned only a lack of special gift, nothing else, so you cannot really validate an answer with irrelevant facts.

Isn't it weird though, that people still prefer to be vampires then wizards after they feel bad for Rosalie?

Only if these people relate to Rosalie. I'm not anything like Rosalie, so it's not so strange. It's just like feeling sorry for another person. You can feel sorry for someone without hating yourself.

I think Filch's case is harder. At least Rosalie has the compensations that comes with being a vampire. Filch had zilch.

Also, the choice didn't say "Unable to have babies". It just put Rosalie as an example.

Being a squib, you'd be shamed more than muggleborns for something you couldn't help, possibly even disowned by your family, depending on how strict about blood purity they are. Having no special powers as a Twilight vampire is normal, and gifts in that series are really rare.
