twilight and harry potter have nothign to do with each other and even if they did i personally think harry potter is better............ i just think its more inspiring than twilight will ever be.... i tried to give twilight a chance i really did i read a bit... but i dont get it when most people change school's they make friends after weeks and weeks, she found a gang of her own on her first day....................

Well Oshey, you're not the first to question how this debate started. All we know is that it exists now. It may have started once it was realized that Rob Patterson, who played Cedric in Goblet of Fire, was going to be Edward in the film adaptation of Twilight. It may have also gained interest when the Twilight film would be released only 2 weeks before the Half Blood Prince film and it was curious on which would beat the other. Again, we don't know how it started, all that matters is that it exists.
