The plain text is a copy/past of link.
The bold text is my own add ins to relate the situations to Bella and Edward

amor is a tricky emotion. There are some things that feel like amor but they are much too superficial to be the real thing. Real amor takes time and doesn't happen overnight. Here are three things that people often confuse for love.

I don’t personally believe that amor can really be defined por anyone, but oh well. People like to try new things.

Lust A.k.a, Twilight

Lust is the feeling that is often mistaken for amor at first sight. Lust is an intense and sudden attraction to somebody you hardly know. It is mistaken for amor because the attraction is so strong.

This sounds a lot like Bella and Edward, right?

Lust can feel like amor because the feelings of attraction are strong and all-consuming. The emotions stirred up por lust can feel very real but they are based on a fantasy. To amor somebody you must know them well but many people fall in lust while they are still strangers. What people in lust fall for is a fantasia of what might be and reality can get lost in the excitement.

I admit, this sounds a LOT like Bella, in the beginning

Overwhelmed por physical attraction people in lust can't keep their hands off of each other. They think about each other constantly and talk about one another all the time. Lust is a happy feeling brought on por passionate attraction. If you are inexperienced in matters of the coração it is very easy to mistake all that passion for love.

Yes, Bella grabbed Edward a lot. Bella never really talked about Edward with anyone besides Edward. Both of them are inexperienced at matters of the heart

Lust differs from amor like night differs from day. Lust happens in the early phase of a relationship when people don’t yet know each other. Lust is based on a fantasy, and the fantasia and reality don’t always mesh up. This is where lust runs out of steam.

Although physical attraction is definitely a key ingredient in any romantic relationship, amor is mais than just a physical longing. If a relationship is all about physical attraction it is based on lust. Really loving another person takes time and it can't be based on physical attraction alone.

Obsession a.k.a, New Moon

Obsessions are often mistaken for amor because people rationalize the crazy feelings they are having. They assume that it must be amor if the other person is always on their mind. Obsession is similar to lust but it is much mais misleading and destructive. While lust is often fleeting, fading as two people come to know each other better, obsession sticks around.

Before anyone says that Bella and Edward never got to know each other before this stage, please allow me to direct you link. You’ll need to scroll a little further than halfway down the page to see Edward asking Bella about every detail of her life as a way to get to know her. This was before Edward said he loved her, but after Bella claimed to be irrevocably in love, unfortunately.

The mais time and effort invested in an unhealthy obsession the mais intense the obsession can become. People in an obsessed state have a one track mind where the other person is concerned and they often lose touch with who they are as an individual. This loss of individuality creates a vicious círculo of behavior where the obsessed person grows mais and mais dependent on the other person to bolster their sense of self.

This pretty much speaks for itself. Bella running off with strange bikers, reckless cliff diving, etc

Even unrequited love, amor that is not returned, can become an overwhelming obsession. When one person believes they are in a relationship that doesn't really exist, or when one person is mais invested in an existing relationship than the other, the foundation for an obsession has been laid.

One could argue that Bella was in an unrequited relationship because Edward wasn’t actively present at a certain point

Real amor is nurturing and helps people grow but obsession is debilitating. If you feel like you have lost yourself, if you are always striving to please your partner without them doing the same for you, and if you find yourself making all decisions in your life based on the feelings and needs of the other person you could be dealing with obsession.

Also, keep in mind the Mormon belief that a partner is pretty much required.

Rebounding A.k.a, Jacob

A rebound is a relationship that starts up very quickly after another relationship has ended. Rebounds are rarely based on amor but are really a way of alleviating the loneliness people feel when a relationship ends.

Bella uses Jacob as a distraction from her obsessive mentality.

Rebounding can feel like amor for the simple reason that the people involved want to be in love. They are used to the security of being in amor and mais than anything else they want to feel that security again. They convince themselves that they are in amor when they are actually missing the safety and comfort of the relationship they left behind.

This explains all the confusing emotions. Bella turned to Jacob for the security. Jacob was misled por her intentions.

If an old relationship keeps interfering with the progress of a new relationship it could mean that the relationship is a rebound. When somebody is on the rebound they are not entirely over their anterior relationship. They may still be trying to work out unresolved issues from that relationship. Rebound relationships may feel like amor but they are still impacted por unsettled feelings from the past.

Bella never got over Edward. It’s expected to believe that if she had gotten over him, or if Edward had never been in the picture at all, there would have been something mais between Bella and Jacob.

I believe that from this point on, Edward and Bella were indeed in love. Edward, I believe to have been in amor earlier on. Bello jumped the gun and confused her lust with love, but it eventually caught up with her and things evened out.

I believe that real amor cannot happen without a sense of obsession to keep you loyal. Lust is necessary to keep you interested, I guess, but I don't find it necessary. I don't see anything wrong with it either.

In conclusion, there's no denying the initial lust. Bella and Edward took the steps usually taken in forming a proper romantic relationship.

I will have mais on this as I continue rereading the series.
Logical reasons...
why Harry Potter v.s Twilight

*WARNING SPOILERS*

Hi! I'm Cinnominbubble and I have noticed the war between fandoms have been going on for a while with no clear outcome. There is a reason to this-We are stubborn. Twihards want to stick up for Stephanie Meyer, whilst Potterheads want to do the same for J. K. Rowling. But, I have noticed something. Many of our reasonings aren't exactly logical. I mean, not to be offensive, some of our strongest points are downright idiotic!(from both sides) I'd like to come up with some smarter points to help people see our side of the story, whatever...

Harry Potter beats Twilight. Of course. But I really don't like it when HP fãs use opinion-ated "facts" when saying WHY Harry Potter is the better movie series. So, I, who am a major Potterhead, put together 7 true, solid, hard, and undeniable facts about certain aspects of the two movie series to prove why Harry Potter is the ultimate series.
**I will only be discussing the movies**

1) Soundtrack

Listen to this wonderful and memorable theme song. As you may have guessed, the theme song belogs to Harry Potter : link

Everyone knows Rowling and Meyer's stance on fanfiction and the fact both writers have given a thumbs up of sorts. However, there is something I don't think either one of them would of approve of and it involves those Reading the Books a lot of people are supposedly writing. I say supposedly composição literária because copying from another persons work is not composição literária unless you are quoting under fair use. And boy... every single leitura the Books I've come across is not in fair use and constitutes plagiarism. I know how to write one that doesn't constitute plagiarism, but I'll save that until the end.

As you can tell from my username, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. However, I wasn’t always. I used to be a Twihard (a twilight obsessed fan-girl). In fact I was one during the early stages of puberty, which is the age where most Twitards fall into the ‘romantic’ trap.

Here’s my story about how I went from ‘Twihard’ to ‘Indifferent’ to ‘Potterhead’:

I first read Twilight as a recommendation from a fellow member of the Teen Advisory Board of my library. I finished that book quickly and moved onto the next. The biblioteca didn’t have Eclipse so I read it ‘Twilight, New Moon, Breaking...

Believe it or not, I do not hate Twilight. The plot is fair, internesting setting, a lot of the characters are good, and not to mention the brilliant fight scenes! The soundtracks are lovely as well as the actors/actresses. Overall, I would give the entire series a C+. I would give it a higher grade if it wasn't for the poor writing, rambling, and somewhat extreme fans. But what's really the anchor of that sinking ship is the books' protagonist and narrator...

Bella Swan.

Of course there's a main character in almost every book I read that I really do not like. For example: in Hunger Games, it's...

I don't want to hear about Harry Potter or any other book right now. I'm not setting this up for a debate about which is better. I just want to know seriously and honestly why you Twilight fãs enjoy leitura Twilight. I want to see an actual reason that Twilight is a good book.
If you don't like Twilight, I don't want to hear you saying anything bad about it. I just want to know why people like it. Because all the debate's I've seen have no actual reasons. They have HP fãs and Twihards going on about which book is better, but not why they like it.
I do actually want respectful debate though. I want to discuss the reasons you give, but nicely.
If you can't be respectful of each other's opinions then just don't comment.
And I'm not trying to hate on Twilight, but if I disagree with you I will debate with you.
I don't know if there are other debate's about this, so I'm sorry if there are, but I didn't look.
I'm just rambling now so let's get onto it!

I thought of a very wonderful quote. I'm not sure where it came from. I might have read it somewhere before. Maybe it is many frases brought together. Maybe it is entirely of my own creation. I don't know. Anyways, I find it to be very beautiful and thought-provoking...

"Twilight is a children's book poorly disguised as great literature. Harry Potter is great literature poorly disguised as a children's book."

I doubt I wrote it. I'm not capable of coming up with something so witty and beautiful as that.

Allow me to explain what it means. It means that Twilight makes people think it is great literature...

Because My Taste In Books Is Just That Awesome

It's easy to point out the negatives in the things we don't like. Likewise, it's also easy to point out the positives in those things which we love. Difficult, it is, to accept the positives in that which we hate, and the negatives in that which we enjoy. Today, I would like to point out to you solely the positives. And it's a good thing I like both things that I intend to praise because otherwise I might find this a difficult endevour to pursue.

In short, I'm gonna tell you what's good about both HP and Twi. These might seem a bit repetitive to...

A lot of debates is going on about who would win, if Harry and Edward got in a fight or duel.
This is understandable since it summerize the whole wizards vs. vampiros thing.
I will try to be objective and analize their chances fair.

1.Physical abilitys
Harry is, besides his magic, a human. He trains Quidditch and he is not exactly out of form, but he just doesn`t have what it takes to break trees in half and stop rushing cars. He can die because of wounds.
Edward on the other hand, is incredebly strong and fast (and cold and never eats and we all know what he is - a vampire). He CAN break trees...

Is it just me, or does it seem like most of the Twilight fãs feel that they have to write in capitol letters to get their points across? Personally i find it really annoying.

It's also a fact that if you write in capitol letters IT TAKES LONGER FOR THE BRAIN TO PROCESS THE INFORMATION and therefore takes longer to read. Originally all the road signs (In England anyway) were written in capitol letters, until they were redone and someone found that smaller case letters were quicker to read. So they changed it.

So seguinte time you feel like shouting because your book sucks, don't write in capitols, but put...
*shouting*... at the begining of your speech.

Thank you. That is all.

I finished leitura Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a couple of days back. In my view, the book is much mais tightly written than the last two books. And that itself is a relief. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are much better etched out in Deathly Hallows, and there are quite a bit of surprises, disappointments, revelations.

But when someone asked me today what I thought about it, I replied,...

Okay so I've been hearing a whole load coming from a whole bunch of people, the majority being females, that Robert Pattison is hot. They say this like it is fact and when someone comes along and says he isn't it's like they don't get it.

They asked, "How is he not hot?" This is a mais formal format of putting it, but I got a whole bunch of responses which were very retarded. Well it has to do with personal preference.

So someone's opinion might clash with another person's opinion. Like how Twilight apaixonados think in Twilight all the vampiros really are hot. But someone else might come along...

Essay Three in my ‘What’s Wrong with Twilight’ or WWT series, is entitled “Bella is Messed Up”. We will be exploring what is wrong with Bella por examining her choices and actions. I may later test her on a psychoanalysis test.

One, she is pathetically whiny. You could open any page of a book and find one where she’s whining. TwiFans try to cover this up por pre-bookmark-ing a book at a page with a descrição of the setting (One of the so very few there are). She always begs Edward to turn her into a vampire, even when he blatantly refuses her pleadings every time.

Two, she is too...
