harry potter contra crepúsculo Pergunta

Harry Potter fans: What do you like least about Twilight? Twilight fans: What do you like least about Harry Potter?

My personal least favourite thing about Tw*l*ght is how anti-feminism it is. Edward abuses her, and she doesn't even care! She is completely dependent on him and can't walk away. He takes advantage of her love.

Agreed, also how everything seems to revolve around Bella like there sin't a world outside. :)

Maybe I'm wrong... but I always thought this club was about people that loved Twilight AND Harry Potter, and they would discuss it - or at least be civilized. If it's just about people criticizing the characters/author/actors of the series they don't like, then I don't know what am I doing here. Maybe I should just stop coming to this club.
Oh and just for the record, Bella isn't a weak, anti-femininsm character. She wants Edward and fights to stay with him, even when he wants to push her way. Bella is actually a strong character - if she wasn't she would have ran away when she figured out Edward's a vampire and she wouldn't have faced the Volturi if she didn't have guts. Edward doesn't take advantage of her love, he PROTECTS her. Jacob, Mike, Eric or any other guy would have done the same thing he did if they could. And of course everything revolves around Bella, we read HER POV! It's her life we follow. Besides we don't see her life 24/7, we see some of her life not every single thought she has during months.
Oh, and wizards don't suck.
But to answer you question.
What I like the least about Twilight: stereotypes (Rosalie is your typical blonde, Jessica and Lauren are your typical b******), slow passing and lack of development of minor characters.
What I like the least about HP: Slow passing, long unnecessary descriptions, Harry's selfishness (even though he is a hero and cares about other people, his closest friends and the ones that care about him the most, Ron and Hermione, he is conviced they are fine on their one he doesn't even bother to actually worry about them. Not much) and of course, the aleatório characters that literally appear out of nowhere and are in every single chapter of the book. Then they are never mentioned again.

No. The club you're looking for is the CAT spot. Bella is very anti-feminism. There's alot of reasons for this- too many to explain in this comment. I'm sure that if you loo around the spot you'll find some explanation. But I will answer the points you put forward. Bella is loyal, but mais in a cachorro, filhote de cachorro love, sickening kind of way. She is dependent on Edward, not in amor with him, Not running away when you meet a vampire is not 'strong' or 'brave', it is stupid. I haven't read New Moon in a while, so I can't answer the bit about the Volturi properly- I'd need to read the chapter etc. In my opinion, he takes advantage of her love, or her dependency, which I explained earlier. Maybe Mike or Jacob would have done the same, but that doesn't make it right. I haven't wrote about everything revolving around Bella, so I can't respond. Harry does care a lot about Ron and Hermione- this is very clear in the books. Anyway, this is getting very long winded, so I'll stop.

I disagree: I don't think Bella is anti-feminism. Just like I don't agree that Bella acted stupidly por not tunning away from Edward when she figured out he's a vampire, I think that's bravery (I would have run). I disagree also with you when you said Edward takes advantage of her love, at least, can't remember one scene in which it has happened (Jacob and Mike are far mais selfish than he is). Also Harry cares about his friends, but the lack of worry with about safety shows how selfish he can be. There are books in which he mentions them alot, and others in which he worries about everything but them.

I disagree. Bella is very anti-feminism. She cannot surive without a man in her life. There is no paticular scene in which he takes advantage of her love- it's mais than she is dependent on him, he knows it, and takes advantage of that. Again, just because Mike or Jacob would have done the same does not make it right. Any sensible person would have ran if they found out that the guy they liked was a vampire. There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity- Bella crossed it. It is not that Harry has a disregard for safety- but he has a need to be a hero, which leads to him doing the things he does.Harry may not have his friends at the topo, início of the worry list all the time- but they are constantly there. In every fight or battle, he worries.

First of all- Harry Potter isn't just a childish bedtime story. Nor is it shallow. A story based off a single dream has no depth. Twilight fãs will never know what kind of man James was before he turned vampire. Rowling, however, spent 15 ano planning every little detail. She created a world within our own for her own witched and wizards. She has based their heritage off of real mythologhy and history. Their spells are in a dead language and they have organized governments with strict laws. She has followed her characters stories from childhood to Graduation and many times to their deaths. One of the best things about this series is that you can study these intricate details. The twilight fãs can only really argue about who bella will marry. In harry Potter, there are arguments over everything from snape's loyalty , to the cryptic meaning of Trelawney's prophesies, to Petty-ship wars. In twilight, very few people ask the questions: (read the picture). To Potter fãs These are common everyday questions. like an amusing childhood Fairytale, meyer's "saga" is to be taken for face value; Delving Deep within will display its undesirable flaws. The mere FACT that Harry Potter makes you think, makes you questinos rowling and causes you to come up with creative theories PROVES ITS SUPERIORITY! (ALL OPINIONS!)

It Twilight, it really does revolve all around Bella (and Edward, I guess). Harry Potter has subplots, which allow us to enjoy several minor stories within one major story.

Jezz, you can't just assume that HP apaixonados don't read Tw*l*ght, when did we ever say that it was only about Bella?

Well, no, everything doesn't revolve around Harry. There's Ron, Hermione, and like "ToyletGnome" pointed out, subplots and background stories about other characters that manages to fit with the main plot without going too off topic and confusing. So, no, everything is not just about Harry in the books.

Well I like both Harry potter and the twilight saga but if I have to pick something I didn't like I would say haw bella led Jacob on and once Edward was back in in picture she left Jacob at the drop of a hat but still expects Jacob to stay in her life and instead of atuação all hole in the coração and jumping off that cliff in la push she should have just moved on with her life I mean ok I totally get the first loves are the hardest ones to recover from and you'll always amor that first amor no matter what but if she had just moved on with her life she would be a better and stronger person in the long run
