I agree that we should NOT stereotype like that. Just because SOME Twilight fãs act and talk like idiots is no reason to lump them together with the intelligent ones and call you all stupid.

We don't Nobody bullies Twilight fãs simply because they are Twilight fans, there are several Twilight fãs on this spot, as well as people who are fãs of both that we respect. Why? Because they aren't brats about it. They don't say OMG TWILIGHT IS SO MUCH BETTER CUZ EDDY IS SO HAWT HP SUX!!!!!!!!! It's the Twiligt fãs who are rabid, and obsessive who we have a problem with. I cetaintly don't think all Twilight fãs are dumb, I'm sure there are many perfectly intelligent Twi-fans out there. Most of us do not assume people are stupid because they like Twilight- the majority of people in my Set 1 class at school amor it. Again, I'm sorry you feel like that, but something tells me you may be misinterpreting things.

I also have a problem on this topic. It annoys me greatly when Twi-fans cadastrar-se this spot, start an argument and then complain when Harry Potter fãs respond angrily. The way I see it, anyone who starts a debate has no right to complain if the debate annoys them, unless it gets personal. And, in the 9 months I've been fanpopping, it never has. Before you complain, check again, because most of the time people are just over sensitive.

PS: Actually, the abuse I've seen directed at Harry Potter fãs or Anti-s is shocking. Just a few months ago, we were told to burn in hell. If we count Twilight fãs on one side, and Anti-s on the other, Twilight fãs have done a lot!

The reason Twifans get this label is because there are so many who only like Twilight because Edward is "hawt!!11" and who bash (yes, bash) Harry Potter because Harry Potter is ugly. They also bash Harry Potter, saying things like "there's no love" and "the bad guys are stupid!" without having ever read it. This is a debate spot, we want to debate with reasonable fans, not with shallow, mindless Twitards.

Seriously, I can count on one hand how many reasonable Twifans I've met, both in real life and here on Fanpop. Yes, we HP fãs tend to jump the gun and assume you're all brainless, yes, it's unfair, but Twifans do the same to us.

You can find reasons to back up Twi but you don't.

When someone comes to this spot and says they like Twilight better, the HP would like some reasons why they like it better. That's not bashing. This is a debate spot, so if a Twilight fã swings por (which is getting rare) we would like to spark up a debate. When the Twilight fã replies "Because Edward is soooo hot nd haarry is ugly!!!!1!" I amor both movies. I am not a crazy fangirl who gives reasons why I like it, coz the characters are hot. I like them for different reasons. And plus I am not the type 2 insult someone and mistereat coz the have a different opinion. I understand and respect it. I'm sure I am not the only one on this spot who agrees and stands in the middle coz they like both and debate about it. Oh no, I respect people's opinions, it's my opinions of why I think there's something wrong with what they said, and I give my argument. I respect other people's opinions, as long as they respect mine. My opinion is Harry Potter is much mais intellectuality better than Twilight, planned better, every little detail has a meaning, whereas Twilight seems as if SMeyer's written notes and thrown them all together.
I know other's opinions may be different, but that is mine.
It's true, we do stereotype sometimes, but some Twilight fãs are a bit overboard, as are Harry Potter fans, but we're not "mistreating" Twilight fans, we're mainly voicing our opinion. We are allowed to do that in a never-ending debate right?

I completely agree. I'm Team Harry Potter all the way, but I'm getting very irritated por the direction SOME (not all) HP fãs are going. I try not to insult the actual Twilight FANS, but I'm guessing I have in the past, even though I didn't mean to.

i do not stereotype, if someone says to me i am a twilight fã then thats fine in fact certain members of my family like twilight. what i don't like are the twilight fãs who call people who have a different opinion to themselves losers or nerds or bitches, i have never called a twilight fã any of those simply because of their taste in books and i do not expect to be treated that way, also i am the kind of person who almost automatically corrects peoples grammar and spelling it is not meant as an insult it is just the kind of person i am, i have read both twilight and harry potter and i simply didn't like twilight i do not expect to be called a loser for simply having a differing opinion.

I'm a fã of both and really the only Twi-fans that bother me are the ones that say, "OMG! EDDYKINS IS SO F-ING HAWT!!!!!!!!11111" and the ones that say that Harry Potter is for kids while Twilight's the mature deal. Yes, I'm a fã of both, but I like Harry Potter a lot more. And there are some looney Twi-fans on Fanpop, good example: EdwardsBest. She constantly babbles about how hot Edward is and she constantly insults anyone who doesn't like it. But, most of the twi-fans I know aren't really rabid or insane. But, you seem like a very sane Twi-fan. And, hey, if you like Twilight, that's your opinion and I'm okay with that. So really, yes we do tend to stereotype a bit. But, me, I like both so, I only really negatively reply to the insane rabid Twi-fans like EB.

The reason Twilight fãs are mistreated is because they come here and show us that thy're immature, MOST come here just to spam and trolll AND TYPE LYKE THRER BANGIN THER HEDS ON TE KIBOOD AT RAHDOOM!!!!! Thats really the only impression they've given us, some uses like spherequeen and chargin were fine. But most went out of thir way to annoy us and some come here without leitura Harry Potter and just saying it's lame its for nerds and are unable to back up their reasoning. Also they cant seem to come up with any reason but Edward is hot for likeing the books. If Twilight fãs want respect they nee to earn it.

If you haven't noticed, most of the Twihards on here ARE a bit... y'know. Their grammar and spelling is suicide- really, it is. I think only THOSE kinda fãs are mistreated, otherwise, we HP fãs have no problem against them, I believe.
The thing is- there's no point in having an argument against you because you don't see what the Twilight fãs do. Other Twilight fãs like sapherequeen, and I suppose you (you sound perfectly decent) do not get mistreated. Sapherequeen is on my most respected list, to be very honest.
Yes, I do agree some HP fãs do label ALL the Twihards as being dumb, which I think is wrong because I can perfectly see that's not true. Otherwise, we have a reason to do what we do! :) Maybe Twihards should respect us a little too.

I don't think that all Harry Potter fãs insult us, but I don't like it when I get insulted just because I'm a Twilight fan. What I hate mais than anything else is when Harry Potter fãs stereotype and say that I'm illiterate. I agree with what you said except for Twilight fãs insult Harry Potter fãs too, and sometimes we deserve to be insulted.
It's true that I've seen many illiterate Twilight fãs on this spot, but I've also seen many illiterate Harry Potter fans, and I notice that no one picks on them, or tells them to write better. I just feel that us Twilighters are getting singled out for some things.
