Het is ongetwijfeld een opkikkertje voor de zangeres, die momenteel nog steeds furgão, van een zware keeloperatie herstelt. adele werd vannacht genomineerd voor zes Grammy-awards, waaronder drie in de belangrijke categorieën 'album of the year', 'record of the year', en 'song of the year'.

Ook rapper Kanye West staat er heel goed voor bij de komende Grammy-uitreiking. Hij werd maar liefst 7 keer genomineerd, vooral dankzij het succesvolle studioalbum 'Watch the Throne', dat hij opnam met hiphopper Jay-Z. Rockformatie Foo Fighters en R&B-zanger Bruno Mars sleepten elk zes nominaties in de wacht. Rapper Lil Wayne en dubstepproducer Skrillex maken kans op vijf wards. De Amerikaanse actrice Lindsay Lohan (25) moet opnieuw naar de gevangenis. Wegens schending furgão, van haar probatievoorwaarden veroordeelde een vrouwelijke rechter in Los Angeles haar tot dertig dagen cel, gekoppeld aan strikte voorwaarden. Lohan aanvaardde het verdict. De zitting werd live door de website Tmz.com uitgezonden. De actrice moet haar straf ten laatste op 9 november beginnen. Na haar vrijlating moet Lohan de instructies furgão, van de rechter volgen, anders riskeert ze nog eens 270 bijkomende dagen gevangenis.

Actress Emma Watson is worth how much? An estimated $32 million, thanks to the wildly popular "Harry Potter" film franchise that made her a global superstar.

In het Waasland Shopping Center in Sint-Niklaas zijn woensdagnamiddag duizenden kijklustigen opgedaagd voor een signeersessie furgão, van de Amerikaanse actrice en zangeres Hilary Duff. Zij signeerde haar debuutroman Elixer, die in ons land door Boekerij/Lannoo op de markt gebracht wordt.
