Looking at the Season 4 finale you can tell that the writers are trying to pair Lexie with George, but because he ended up dying (ie. the writers would've known about TR's leave), they introduced Arizona as a regular so there's someone for Callie while they pair Mark& Lexie up, this way everyone has someone.

I know it's a bit random, I was just thinking about Mark& Callie's relationship and this came into my mind.

George isn't the reason that Mark and Callie aren't together. It's the fact that Callie is a lesbian that keeps them apart. Remember, after she and George broke up, Callie realized she was a lesbian, she did hook up with Mark for a while for just the sex, but her feelings were nothing more.

I agree that George isn't the reason Mark and Callie aren't together, although I don't think it's necessarily because she's a lesbian either. If you remember, she's still enjoyed sex with Mark after realizing that she she was with Hahn. I think she's attracted to both men and women, even though she's been exploring her attraction to women more. Anyway, I think her and Mark are great friends and their hookup was nothing more than sex.

@acklesgirl187 I do agree with you that she enjoyed sex with Mark, but sex is different from love. I got the impression that she did enjoy sex with Mark, but there were no love feelings from her side.

I want him to be with Callie or Addison.
