I don't remember what episode, but eventually she tells Lorelai she didn't tell her because she didn't want to be that girl. The girl her mom was saying she shouldn't be. Who gets upset in her head, then forgives the guy when he deigns to show up. At least that's what I think. I wish I could remember what episode Rory tells Lorelai she lied to her about it...
