gilmore girls - tal mãe, tal filha Pergunta

Need help for a GG themed bridal shower!

Ok, my best friend is getting married, and this is her favorite, favorito show. She watches the dvds every single day. Her boyfriend even proposed based on a GG episode. I am thinking about having a GG themed bridal shower, but I am not nearly as familiar with the show as she is. Are there any specific episodes that I should watch to get ideas? I know Laurali (sp?) does have a bridal chuveiro in one episode. Any help is appreciated.

Get the last disc of Season 7 and watch the special features. Kirk's Town Tours of Stars Hollow (the fictional town where Gilmore Girls live) should give you a lot of ammo. I'd suggest making signs for various parts of the room/building where the chuveiro is to be held labeled after Stars Hollow locations (the map in the Town Tours should help with this) - essential locations: Luke's o jantar, lanchonete (this should have a sign under it that reads "Williams Hardware") , The Dragonfly Inn, Doose's Market, Miss Patty's, Kim's Antiques, Stars Hollow Gazebo. I'm guessing that your friend already got a thousand yellow daisies, candles, música and a white horse along with her proposal (that's how my husband proposed. If you can work these elements into the bridal chuveiro that would be awesome! You definitely need to serve lots of coffee. Mark it with a sign that reads "Coffee, Coffee, Coffee." Hamburgers are a must, with a sign that reads, "Red meat can kill you. Enjoy." Also, french fries, with a sign that says, "The devil's starchy fingers."

...in lieu of a cake, you should spell out your congratulations message on a mesa, tabela in Mallomars. As to música you should be playing, this link will get you started: link It's a playlist I've been putting together that's Gilmore Girls related. At least one person present NEEDS to be dressed in a backwards baseball cap, jeans and a t-shirt, with a plaid flannel camisa worn on top, unbuttoned as a jacket.

Emm, im not sure of anything in particular, but I do know that rory and lorelai always always have movie nights together, where they get takeaway comida and pretty much eat junk. Im sure that might not be the best idea for a bridal shower, I think those are usually during the dia right? Im not sure, but you could incorporate that somewhere.

Another thing from the show was that they had crazy themed parties, like rory went to a college party that had the theme of the ano 2002. That was really original and funny, and her friends all wore uggs and brought cheesy música from that year. If your friend is a big fã im sure she would find this funny and it would be something really different. I suppose it depends on her personality, for example, if she is quite sensible and sophisticated then these ideas may not work, where as if she is quite laid back im sure she would amor them.

There are so many different parties and events in the series which you could take inspiration from, because it's set in a small close knit town (Star's hollow) and they often host events for the whole town. For example they once had a huge knitting event to raise money, where everyone had to knit for hours, and there was huge yarn balls, and sookie (lorelai's best friend) tried to come up with knitting themed foods.

Another thing from the show is an episode, rory and lorelai spend an evening with a geisha style Japão theme. They both dressed up as geishas and they ate sushi and watched japanese movies.

Im not sure if any of these idea will help you, but its just to give you some idea of the things that feature on the show. If you watch a few episodes on youtube or whatever, there is bound to be some parties or events you could try to imitate.

If you need any mais help about characters or costumes or foods or anything just message me :)

I just realised this answer is sooo long lol

I would think maybe decorate it like the dragonfly? Or Luke's?

Or if you want to be different, maybe use Yale memorabilia and when Lorelai makes shirts that say 'Rory's going to Yale', recreate that with shirts that say '... Is getting married'
