Brienne of Tarth failed in her quest to rescue Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones" Season 4, and according to Gwendoline Christie, her character isn\'t going to be taking that failure very well in Season 5.

"Brienne is a woman of honor, so the initial promises she makes she doesn\'t stray from. Against all the odds this season, we truly see a continuation of that, with all its ups and severe downs," Christie tells Zap2it on the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 premiere red carpet.

She recaps: "At the end of Season 4 we saw the fight with the Hound -- Brienne managed to defeat the Hound -- however she failed in her quest for Arya. She had her in her hands and she just escaped. She fell through her fingers like sand. So I\'m imagining that Brienne may feel a little disillusioned after that, probably a little disappointed in herself."

Brienne is directionless after her loss of Arya, and Christie says the character "moves all over the place." But she also offers this intriguing tease: "Perhaps we have a look at some of her darker recesses too."

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 premieres April 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
