yeah I don't see how people think they are alike at all they are both great bands but flyleaf has a dark edgier type sound and Paramore has like a kind of pop rock/ alternative rock vibe none the less they are both amazing!
No, people are always saying this. Paramore is not "just another one of those bands, trying to go along with the flow to be liked", and no, they will not "get old sooner or later". Flyleaf is just the same, but differant, if you follow ... Every band is differant and unique and that's why we love them!
No they have two different sounds to their music..i think the only real similarity is that they both have female lead singers but the sounds are really different.
I wish people would quit comparing them! Sound wise they have nothing in common. Seems like half of the picks on her are some form of Flyleaf vs. Paramore.
Flyleaf are very diffrent from Paramore. They are both interesting bands, but I believe Flyleaf are more into their message and music. It does kind of annoy me when people compare these to so intensely (sp?). They are diffrent bands, they have diffrent sounds, one is more popular, one is more talented. Period. End of story.
Uhh, no way! Flyeaf's music is more meaningful than Paramore's. The lyrics are so much better and the music is different as well. Yeah they're both rock bands but it's a different type of rock for each band. Flyleaf is more alternative, hard rock, and metal while Paramore is more punk rock and emo. They're both good bands but in my opinion Flyleaf is better.
Both bands have a special type of thing that makes them extremely likeable.Flyleaf is kindof indirectly religious and more about the lyrics. While paramore has great lyrics too but a different type of sound( apparently emo, alternative or pop punk)
As a neutral outsider I'd say that there are definate similarities.I would consider them both melodic alternative pop/metal or hard rock groups.Flyleaf's have a smoother / dryer downtuned guitar approach.Where as a Paramore spickier (punk) approach but when they do much more straight pop ballad's their voices sound pretty similar.I would connect both to Emo.I think Paramore's association with Pop-punk (or even Pop-rock) is usually far too much over emphorsized, much closer to slick melodic slightly smoothed out alternative metal in a similar way Flyleaf are, when they both rock out anyway.
I'm now very acquainted with both bands, much more than before, and I still have to say that, yes, they have similarities, but not a whole lot of them. Both are Christian bands, but Flyleaf definitely emphasizes on that much more than Paramore. Believe it or not (for those who know little to nothing about them), Paramore does have a lot of deep, meaningful songs, but not quite as many as Flyleaf. Flyleaf doesn't seem to have any upbeat, dance songs like Paramore does, along with the meaningful ones. Both bands are pretty much in the Rock genre, but Flyleaf is a little bit in the Metal genre as well, and Paramore's second album is a little in the Pop genre. Obviously Hayley doesn't scream, and Lacey does. However, both bands are insanely talented, and they both write their own music, go crazy on stage, and aren't afraid to express their faith.
They have some similarities, but overall, they're quite different bands.
I mean, haha they ARE both bands...with female lead singers, who make rock/alternative music, but that's around where the similarities end.
And give-in2-me, that doesn't necessarily make them alike at all.
So same in that respect...But flyleaf still has the harder edge.
Flyleaf has a heavy metal-ish rhythm, while Paramore is kind of pop/rock-ish,
still, they are both good bands
I love Paramore.
-xo.
and its very true. if everybody sounded the same then what would be the point?
Uh... I think not.
