INTERESTING to hear this week Liverpool striker Fernando Torres talking about the difference between coaching in Spain and England.
He said: 'Rafa (Benitez) has coached in England and Spain and the ideas are the same.
'But, the difference is that in Spain he is a coach whereas at Liverpool he is the manager, the coach, the one who signs the players, the one who oversees the youth system and the one who decides who is on his coaching staff.
'(Sir Alex) Ferguson and (Arsene) Wenger are examples that in England, even when you do not win things, managers are given time.'
No wonder he went on to say: 'I think Benitez is going to be at Liverpool for a long time.'
Let's face it - if Benitez was at Barca, they would probably have sacked him long ago.
Torres has made an amazing start at Liverpool with 30 goals in his first season.
Great for him, great for Liverpool and not bad for his Atletico Madrid.
His old club has made an extra 750,000 euros ($1.6 million) out of his sale for that very reason.
THERE was a time when it seemed Robinho was the most important player at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian was the estrela of the first half of the season and when he got injured two months ago, it coincided with Real's worst run of form.
But things change quickly at Real and it seems Robinho's good form has gone out the window...literally!
It appears that the Brazilian winger is leaving Real Madrid's Cuidad de Futbol training complex every dia through a 40cm window to avoid speaking with the press and staff at the training ground.
Having lost his place to Arjen Robben, it seems, as well as the window, he could also be heading for the door.
Fifa rules stipulate that if a player serves the first three years of his contract, he can then get himself out of his club if he gives it two weeks' notice before the end of the season.
Which ever way you look at it, Robinho seems to be heading for a less than fitting exit.
IN a survey of Barca fãs this week, only seven per cent said they wanted Thierry Henry to start against Manchester United in their Champions League semi-final first-leg clash on Wednesday.
Argentine Leo Messi, Samuel Eto'o and 17-year-old Bojan Krkic was the preferred attack of over 4,000 fãs who voted on Barca sports' tabloid Mundo Deportivo.
Henry complained last week that he was losing his eye for goal because he was being played on the left hand side of Barcelona's attack.
Surely he knew before he came that Barca play with a front three and that a certain Mr Eto'o was the central striker.
The same Eto'o por the way who last week made it 14 goals in 14 games - a phenomenal record for a player who has had another injury-disrupted season.

Fernando Torres claims Avram Grant will have to win the Champions League to step out of Jose Mourinho's shadow. And the Spanish ace insists his Liverpool side are determined to stop that happening as they look to knock Chelsea out of the semi-finals for the third time running.
Torres, 24, has also claimed Chelsea's season will be decided por their players and not the manager. He said: "If they win the Champions League, nobody will remember Mourinho.
At the end the player decides the system and decides if you are a strong team."
Torres also believes the Reds' experience in europa will prove crucial, even though for the first time the first leg will be at Anfield.
He added: "The chance to win the Premier League has gone so we are focused on the Champions League.
"You can't tell whether it's better to be at início first or not. It would be better if we don't concede a goal."

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has suggested that Ronaldo "carries United on his back in some matches".
With no hint of irony from the man who has scored 22 of Liverpool's 60 Premier League goals this season, Torres has hinted that United are a one-man team.
He suggests that to beat Sir Alex Ferguson's team in the Champions League semi-finals, Barcelona need only to nullify the Portuguese attacker.
"I watch Ronaldo every weekend and he is massively impressive," said Torres.
"He carries United on his back in some matches.
"Barca have no idea how spectacular Ronaldo is or how far ahead of every other player in the world he is right now.
"But if they keep the ball away from him Barca will get to the Champions League final.
"United suffer against teams who keep possession of the ball."
