I think it depends on where the video is hosted.

For vídeos to appear in the vídeos section of a club, two things need to happen:

1) fanpop needs to support video embedding from that site

and

2) That site needs to support embedding for that particular video.

In this case, it sounds like it is failing on #2: YouTube is not allowing embedding for the video, which is becoming mais and mais common for popular videos. This makes a sort of business sense, as YouTube is a google web site, and google makes its primary money through advertising. So mais and mais often, YouTube vídeos that are likely to have a lot of views (music video premieres, movie trailers, et cetera) are "YouTube exclusives" so that google will get the ad revenue. It is a shame that they don't make this obvious to the user before he/she tries to embed the video elsewhere. When this happens, you may want to consider using another video site which passes #1, above, such as dailymotion. So far, at least, dailymotion has far fewer "dailymotion exclusives" than YouTube does.

Is it just that the content is the same, or is the actual url the same?

If the URLs are different, then the other users are finding copies of the video where embedding is allowed, that's all. If the video you post shows up as a link instead of in the "videos" section, you can always find another url for the same material, editar your post, and replace the URL. Keep doing that until you find one that works embedded.

It's not an issue with fanpop normally ..its the host site not allowing embedding on any other sites but kinda forcing the user to watch on the original site.

p.s. youtube is the devil...whats that shit aboot needing a google account to have a youtube account!? WTF!? and the annoying copyrights crap where you can SEE the thumbnail but then when you click on it you get an error if its not to be viewed in your country THEN DONT SHOW ME THE FUCKING RESULT i HATE youtube and google with a passion. lord knows why i still use their search..i should really start using bing or something /rant and huge tangent

I'm with you there. I haven't reached my breaking point yet but I'm getting close specially with youtube - as if all those annoying adds aren't annoying enough

google has annoyed me from the very beginning, with the whole misspelling "googol" thing.
