How did you become a Fanpopper?

If I remember correctly, I found fanpop when I was searching for pictures of Noah Wyle. I found the ER spot and lots of nice pictures, picks an other stuff. I immediately joined, so that I could answer picks.

I remember thinking how brilliant it was to make one site, with lots of fanclubs combined. I always looked for fansites, but lots of different ones is just not that practical. Here in the Netherlands we had a site called 'Hyves' which was a bit like Facebook, and also with pages for TV shows/celebrities. fanpop reminded me of that. Obviously people from all over the world have a lot mais to share then just Dutch people, so fanpop had a lot mais content.

As I said, I came here looking for pictures of Noah Wyle, so when I realized he didn't have his own spot, I created it! I was so happy I contributed to this site. I made me feel really involved.

I like the fact that fanpop users are from all over the world. I also like the fact that users actively help each other with (fanpop-related)problems. The people here are mostly really nice. They treat each other respectfully, even if they don’t share their opinion. But the thing I like most is how actively involved the F4 are! I've never seen that on any other site. They listen to what fãs have to say and they help out whenever they can. I registered so quickly I never realized my login would also be my screenname, so I used my full name. That became a problem, since it was the first thing you found when someone googled my name. I send a message to the F4 and they were kind enough to make an exception for me and change my username! I'm still so grateful they did that!

I hope fanpop stays online forever, because it’s a great addition to the internet. It really brings people with the same interests together.

I was looking for a House desktop wallpaper and my procurar found the wallpapers section of the House MD Spot. Poked around the rest of the spot, then lurked for a while, then joined because I wanted to yell my opinions about the show too.
Why I stayed? This place allows me get my crazy out. Most of my friends aren't as obsessed with tv shows/movies/bands/people as I am, but my friends on fanpop are. So fanpop provides me with a creative outlet for my amor of things with people who support that too.

I came across fanpop a bit over three years atrás when I was searching google for House M.D. pictures.
And that was it - it was amor at first sight.

I was mainly on the House M.D. spot at first and it was awesome because it was a perfect place to rant and rave about things I was obsessed with and couldn't go on and on about with my friends or family. Making pesquisas and composição literária artigos are really fun and at the time I loved the small community that fanpop was.
Back then we all really knew each other and there was a definitive core group of well known people on many spots . It's still like that today, but there are a lot mais people now and I've just drifted away a bit since then, but I still check it almost every day. I also leave comments or make picks fairly often - just not as much as before.
I also amor the fact that we are from all over the world - it's amazing getting to know people who live such similar yet different lives half way across the world. I've made a lot of good friends here and I amor being part of the community.
It also really feels good to have kind of a legacy here. I've created several spots (only one of which is even remotely popular) and I've contributed a lot to a small number of spots - leaving me feeling relatively well known and appreciated around them. And I feel the same towards the other "elder users" I guess I could call them. I'm on the tail end of the mais original group of people and I'm really glad I got to be a part of the time when that first generation was still there!

Moi found it because of pictures :) I met my real-life girlfriend here and stayed because of fun people like dasm, germs, missy,...and all the others :D

I found out about fanpop on youtube. I searched websites and fanpop came up. I looked for the website and registered. I don't know why I did it. I guess it was to meet new people. and to show my artwork. I stayed because of all the people who were nice to me. now I have lots of friends than I did before! I met alot of people who are fãs of sonic, like me. I don't really fit in with my thoughts anf feelings about certain things but I know with my friends i'm not the only one who thinks that.

I was trying to find the 'Total Drama World Tour' trailer in October '09, and I saw that there was a 'quiz' section, so I'm like, "Woah! That's cool!" Then I saw the Duncan and Courtney club, and what made me stay is that I discovered a real passion for composição literária and I started making fanfics.

I always knew fanpop existed because when I searched up my favorito TV shows on google fanpop would always be on the first page of results.
I really wanted to see what it was so I joined. I joined all my favorito clubes and started adding pics and stuff.
It was really fun so I stayed. I enjoy working hard for my medals. I got one for the sobrenatural spot today. YAY!

I found a picture of the Frasier cast on google from fanpop which lead me to the Frasier club. Realized there were teste perguntas also.
I decided to make an account so I could answer the them.

I was searching for pictures with MJ .. and I didn't registered for the first time. I was like a guest.. I was coming here almost every dia but just looking. I semear, porca many posts, comments of some fans.. and I decided to register. Then I met wonderful fãs here.. wonderful friends... people that I never dreamed before to meet!!! :)) I was and still I am so happy and so blessed to have found you!!
I became addicted.. if I don't come here 1 dia I feel like sick.. lol..
Now it's part of my life.. and I'm happy about it!! :)
I wondered so much time who created this amazing site.. to give a BIG THANK YOU!!!!!! You have no idea how happy are so many people coming here.. sharing ideas, sharing their joy or their sorrow..

i had this pesquisa project and i was looking up good topics. Then fanpop appeared. I thought it looked fun, and it had a bunch of clubes i liked, so i joined!

I was going through some picture in google and a couple of them were here on fanpop. It seemed interesting so I gave it a try. Here I am, still going strong! :D

I had been dying to find this one animê picture and couldn't find it anywhere!

Then one dia I found it on FP. I was relieved, then I started browsing the site.

Once I saw it, I just had the urge to join.

Nothing to extraordinary...but I do amor the site. ;)

i had no idea what fanpop was aboot and i only registered to say "thank you" to some users who had posted episodes. i never thought to participate (hence the original user name) and i ended up staying because of the community back then.


if i joined now i would probably be too overwhelmed por all the site features and sit in a corner trying to figure it all oot :P

oh and what REALLY sealed the deal was when you became my fan,dave! seriously though...it DID make me stay me thinks..user interaction/fanning and the first props. i think thats what keeps you in a community. fã interaction and people noticing your contributions (i will always remember my first prop came from megloveskyle)

At that time (2008) there was still a rating system here, so I clicked to rate an image and the "sign in" screen invited me to register.I didn't think at all because I was curious to see all the abilities of the site.Honestly, I don't remember what particularly made me stay but I'm sure that were not the medals because I didn't know about them till I got my first one and that was after an ano of contribuing :D
Maybe, the first ano and a half I was still in the process of "understanding" the features.. :D
But the fact that I met people who share my interests was enough to make me stay.

I was looking up Lucario for some aleatório reason,and I saw Fanpop.I clicked on it,and I liked it,so I decided to sign up.

Someone posted a link to The Black Donnellys spot on another site I was a member of, I signed up here & joined the spot to raise the fã count. Got bored a little later and started poking around, found some interesting stuff & awesome people (including two distant cousins, a sister and a twin). Became addicted to picks, ícone making & leaving sarcastic comments. Tried several rehab programs, medication, therapy, nothing worked. You're stuck with me, Fanpop. =P

I did a google image procurar for Brandon flores at the dawn of my obsession and came across the stunning link I noticed the other, equally stunning, fotografias above in the fotografia lineup thing about the image.

I clicked to the spots homepage to check out what else was there. I was interested in the teste questions, so I registered so I could take it.

I noticed there weren't many questions, so I did an overhaul and added a lot mais questions, and that's what brought me back daily. (I amor counting how many people answer my questions)

I was on facebook and I found a link for this artigo written on the Damon and Elena fã page. I looked at that person's perfil and saw that they were a fã of other things too. I got interested because I saw Harry Potter, C.A.T., LOST, Supernatural, the Office, and other things. So I decided to join.
What made me stay? I was fascinated with the website. :)

I was searching for CSI-Las Vegas episodes because I was away from home, and fanpop came up. I didn't cadastrar-se right away till I went to answer a pick in the filmes spot and it said I needed to register so that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship stayed because of friends.

i wonted to be apart of a sobrenatural fã club online > so i googled it . fã pop was the first thing that came up

so after i was part of the club - what made me stay the most was the fãs of sobrenatural . there always really nice - giveing me props and helping me out

oh an i big apart of me staying was my profle - i have so much fã adding pictures n geting props . haveing ícones - showing people what was my favorito clubes - i just got my first medal 2 so that cool - it was for Supernatural

I found it when I was searching for teste trivia on my favorito show Frasier.

I became a fanpopper when I was looking for IZ pics,and saw that a lot of them were from fanpop, so i joined.

Well,I was looking on google for any sonic fã character rps or seeing other pictures of character,and fanpop,was a google suggestion.I pressed the link,and made a fanpop file :D.I quit for awhile since I soon got bored,but I came back once I started watching anime.:D

I believe I was looking to see if there was any info on new episodes of "The Penguins of Madagascar", and came across something on Fanpop. I probably wouldn't have made an account, at least not right away, except that there were some role-players around that spot, and I found it pretty interesting, so I started looking around to see what the rest of the spot was like and loved all of Fanpop's different features and stuff.
I stuck around later because I made a lot of awesome friends, and I really liked finally having people to talk with on different spots who share my obsessions.

I think I discovered fanpop por typing in a google procurar bar something about Vampire Academy or X-men and something with fanpop came up. When I found out I could sign in with my facebook account I was hooked. I started with the quizzes immediately. I come início from school and am doing my homework while playing on Fanpop. I amor the way I can finally meet people who like the same things I do. That's really hard for me to do in my lifestyle.

I was searching for online chat rooms. and i found mais than i bargained for! i chose to stay because....wow hard to explain! i just liked the fact that u could be in clubes and have "fans" and share ur thoughts with others. Alright, so I was searching for aleatório stuff and typed "Taylor Lautner" in google. One of the links said this: "Taylor Lautner vs. Joe Jonas". I clicked it. It took me to a pergunta on fanpop on the Joe Jonas spot. I clicked "answer this question" It told me that I should register, so I just told myself "why not?" I typed in a username, a password, my email and my gender, it took me back to the pergunta and I answered it. I decided to explore this site because I had no idea fanpop even existed before that and I like trying new things. Anyways I went on my perfil and realised that we can cadastrar-se clubs, upload photos, create clubes and even have fãs of ourselves! It seemed really fun. It was summer break so I had time to go on fanpop everyday. I found out mais and mais about it and enjoyed it mais and mais so I decided to stay here, Oh I also made a lot of good friends on here which is another reason that made me stay. Now I can't imagine what would my life be without fanpop! hehe But fanpop also changed a lot of my opinions and taste in things and life (like for example I used to amor twilight now i don't) it also taught me that whatever someone's opinion is, or whoever likes or is a fã of someone or something that you don't, don't mock them because this is their life and their choices, and I'm very thankful for fanpop for that and thanks Dave and the rest for creating such an awesome website! :)

How did you discover Fanpop?
I remember I was trying to find a site where I could watch episodes of some tv shows and someone somewhere mentioned Fanpop. So I checked it out. I didn't sign up right away, which I regret because then my "Fanpopping since" would say Aug 2006 instead of May 2007(I know, big gap). But anyways, I think what compelled me to finally cadastrar-se was that I had found some episodes of Monk and saw that the Monk Spot was missing episodes. So I joined and posted the vídeos because I wanted other fãs to be able to watch it too.

And what made you stay?
My friend had asked me why I always go onto fanpop and not Facebook. And I still have no idea why. It could either be:
-The awesome Fanpoppers
-The picks
-The fact that I get to contribute
It could be anything or everything about fanpop actually. Since I've joined, I don't think there has been a dia that I hadn't signed onto fanpop (except the time I got temporarily banned >.< It was a total nightmare and I am so glad you guys unbanned me)

I was googling pictures of Bellatrix Lestrange. I clicked on one of them, and it took me to the Bellatrix Lestrange spot on here.

I thought it looked like fun, but the main thing that made me want to register was when I saw some people Roleplaying as Death Eaters from Harry Potter. When they made an official "Death Eater Roleplay" spot, I joined, and it was a lot of fun.

I've made some great friends on here, and it's a lot of fun to Roleplay, and everything else on here is pretty awesome as well. Basically after I made my account and spent some time on here, I got hooked :P

So I joined. haha<3

If I remember correctly, I was searching for X-Men Origins: Wolverine photos, and I came across Fanpop. I created an account because I wanted to comment on a pick. I stayed because I enjoyed being a part of a fanclub and being able to comment on picks and answer questions, so on and so forth. :) I really, really like Fanpop. It's easy to manuever and quite fun to be a part of. :)

How did you discover Fanpop? - I came across fanpop while searching for ncis fanclubs.

Why did you register? - It had like minded people, great clubes & I felt it was somewhere I could make friends & meet other fans.

What made you stay? - The people. The girls I met on the NCIS, Tiva & other spots were so great. The clubes rocked, but the it's my Tivotees & other friends who made me stay. I've met some of my closest friends on here.

How did you discover Fanpop?
I was looking up information on a segundo movie in the City of Ember series, and a link to this question: link showed up on Google. So I clicked, read the responses, tried to post my own, and found out I couldn't without signing up. So I gave it a shot. I never did actually answer the question. Everything I posted there was in comment form. =)
Why did you register?
Like I said, I wanted to answer a question, and I figured that if I liked the site, I'd stay and explore, and if I didn't really, I'd just stay around that club. It's a shame that it doesn't have much activity.:(
And what made you stay?

Well I was on google looking up total drama island pictures and all of a sudden fanpop kept popping up as I clicked on the image to see the full size. fanpop is awesome. I like the fact you don't allow anti - fã clubs. That just causes problems.

Altough, there are a few things I don't like about Fanpop. But otherwise, it's actually a really cool site! :)

It all started one October night.

I saw the club for the show,Sonny With a Chance,I clicked cadastrar-se club and then I went to the part where it said cadastrar-se fanpop and that's how it all begun

well i waz looking up mindless behavior and i seen dis site that said fanpop so i clicked on registered beause it seems interesting....

i was searching for a lucille ball fã club to cadastrar-se and then ur add came up and so i clicked on it and then i realised this could be fun...so i filled out the stuff and i made some good friends, loved the picks joining other clubes and so thats how i stayed.

I used to always look for TDI pictures and I constantly see they are from fanpop. It looked awesome so I finally joined after visiting many times and I recently became a fã of you dave because I saw "fanpop" was a fã of you so I became a fã of you too.

I think I was searching for a fansite for Twilight, which is ironic, as I'm not a fã anymore. I did not like most of the results I found. Then I found Fanpop. I started answering teste questions, which I found very entertaining. I made an account almost immediately and continued answering teste questions. Then I realized there were mais awesome features, the picks being my favorite. That's why I stayed and continue to log on!

I searched up avatar the Last Airbebder teste to keep the results you needed to be a member I decided eh why not I'll give the site a try. I stayed because I wanted to add perguntas and pesquisas of my own. I amor talking about my latest obsessions when I found out this was tge place to do so I got excited.

when I was searching for imagens on twilight I kept seeing they were coming from here like others I didn't cadastrar-se at first but found myself on here everyday enjoying the comments reguarding my favorito shows & movies. I've also made several spots myself around 30-35 and its fun just being a leader of spots dedicated to the shows, singers, movies, etc that I enjoy the most.

I was looking for pictures of johnny depp, and I realized that I could log in to comment and add fotografias and video and share it. There were other clubes that I have seen and now spend much time on fanpop!

Actually I was browsing through some iCarly related imagens and google and I saw fanpop come up numerous times,esp. with the screencaps of some episodes,which I thought was really awesome and cool and this seemed like a really awesome site (and it turned out I was right!),so after that I decided to cadastrar-se and then I was on from there!,so yeah that's my story in finding fanpop,oh and what made me stay,well I just thought it was a fun,whether it was making picks,answering them or contributing in anyway possible,I just thought it was really fun!

On google I would look up pictures and the good pics were always on fanpop so I signed up for it.

I was searching something about Sleepy Hollow on google when I stumbled upon this site. I saw the picks on the sleepy hollow spot and thought 'I want to answer the picks too' so I made an account.
Then I found out that you could cadastrar-se many mais clubes and since then I got addicted to fanpop.

I was looking for pictures of Shadow the Hedgehog and one of them led here. I explored the site and thought it would be fun. Over a ano later I'm still here. :D

I happed to fide fanpop when I was looking up Hayden Christensen to see what my results were and I registerd because it seemed fun.

Found it while looking for stuff on Google, looked through it, liked it, joined, and ate a sandwich.

I found fanpop when I was looking for a site to make your own Zanpakutō (big animê fan, loves me some Bleach) and then bang I found myself with 50 friends and a couple of props XD
I still use fanpop cos its a lil place to discuss and have fun with other fãs of whatever 'thing' you enjoy (and I also get bored extremely easily)

I actually first discovered fanpop por a friend on youtube. back in 2009 or 2008. he was a big Mario fan. I don't remember if I made an account or not. I think I might of made one. about a 25/100. but I did make my first real account called "thefadeeffect" in February 2012. I deleted it. and replaced with this account "PaperYoshi". in May. I mainly stayed here because this site is fun!. I make friends. post stuff on clubes about my favorito things. there is a great community!. and a fun system. and I have been fanpopin' for mais than 6 months now!. and 3 on this account.

i wanted to take a teste on celebrities so i saw fanpop clicked on it but after i took the teste it said u have 2 sign in or cadastrar-se fanpop so i asked my mom say said ok and BOOM i have a fanpop with really cool fãs lol :)

One dia I was searching for quizzes about actor Cillian Murphy and found some, here on Fanpop. I answered one question, but had to register in order to see the other questions. So I`ve joined, found cool clubes and cool people to share the things I amor with, and finaly became addicted. I`m on fanpop every day, even if it`s just for a few minutes! :)

I found fanpop while looking for fã art of either heroes or Vampire Knight (I know those 2 fandoms were first, but I can't remember which was earliest). I joined so that I could cadastrar-se those clubes and find the imagens mais easily. For years I just joined clubes for the fã art without adding anything myself, but then I realised I had some stuff on my laptop I could add. I stayed because this place is addictive.

It was January, a little after new year's day. I wanted to make use of my kindle, and plus I was bored.

How did I discover Fanpop? Boredom. I wanted someone to talk to about pokémon since a lot of peeps I know irl left it because they were "growing up."

What made me stay? This site made me addicted. Plus, I found peeps with the same interests as me. Plus, I could geek out about Pokémon!
