When you editar an artigo are you supposed to lose all the times it was 'liked'?

In the anterior rating system, I don't remember losing ratings when something was edited but then I didn't usually editar my artigos after they were published either. The only reason I'm concerned is that the artigo I published is a work in progress that other fãs are helping me to complete, so it's going to be edited frequently.
