Looking for a quick answer, are made up song lyrics aloud when applied in a story?

I am composição literária a story and there's is a part where a song comes up, and in my rough draft the entire song is written out for full effect. It's a very important song in the story, because it does affect how the story goes once it's heard. It is entirely made up, not copyrighted. Is this allowed?

Yes. I've read stories where are lyrics there, you just have to tell the song it's made por someone else and identify the author. Hope I helped you

I did this in one of my fanfics (a Harry Potter fanfic). My 2 Original Characters were musicians and I quoted songs they performed.
Sometimes, songs and lyrics are almost inevitable. Take fandoms such as the Blues Brothers, musicians and singers. I am also a fã and those of us that write in that fandom do use songs and lyrics, as part of the storyline.

My policy is to quote the song when relevant to the plot and QUOTE their authors and performers. As most of the time I write under the influence of music, I also quote the piece that had accompagnied me in "author's notes" at the end of each chapter (whenever relevant). I also provide the YouTube link to the piece, so that readers can read the story and listen to the songat the same, to add atmosphere. I had some readers that had written back to me that they had checked the link and were very happy to have the oppportunity to know a piece or a band or a song or a singer.

Would this be okay as a foot note at the end of my chapter? Quote, 'The Song of Saharah is a lullaby that I wrote specifically for the story and applies to the story alone. However there is a song that is similar to the sound and feel intended in this work, the song is called ‘Your Symphony’ por the band Dark Moor, here the link to the song: linkand all credit for the song ‘Your Symphony’ goes specifically to the band. *Note*, Should you choose to listen to this song I would ask you for the sake of atmosphere for the story to please excuse the vocals, though fine the way they are, may not give the right impression where the likeness of this song applies in this work and does not suggest in anyway the way the characters are intended to sound. However, I’ll leave it to your digression. '... please be honest.

I wrote a song inspirted por the feel of another song and want to share with the readers the song that inspiried it, so that's all. I want to applly the link to the song to expend on the reader's experience like you said you've done but still don't feel comfortable enough to do it, because it would kill me should my story get deleted for any reason. it's my only fã fic and I work to hard on it.

Yes, I do exactly that too. I use footnotes a lot. The example you gave is what I do too. If you wish I can give you the references of my HP fanfic so that you may have an idea. Just beware that with FanFiction.net, the publishing interface does not accept URLs. Use words like (slash) and (dot) so that your url may appear totally. Don't be afraid about your story being deleted on FanFiction.net : that only happens if you choose to eliminar your story yourself. Besides, always have a backup for your story. I have 3 backups : on my hard-drive, on a USB key, on FanFiction.net. I understand your issue because I had a problem last ano with the translation of my fanfic and lost 5 chapters like this, I had to translate them all over again ! Feel free to PM me if you need mais advice. Glad to help.
