It was called Ewan McGregor Doesn’t Know What a Woke Bae Is, but He’s Happy to Be On | Vanity Fair
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:

at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, March 14, 2017.
Ewan McGregor is delighted to be a woke bae. Of course, the Scottish actor doesn’t
know what that is—but after a quick explanation from
event at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City, he embraced the term.
“I’m a woke bae!” he exclaimed, his famous toothy grin spreading from ear to ear. “I’m fucking proud to be a woke bae! I’m very proud about that. I
One needn’t look far for proof of McGregor’s woke credibility. The actor has long been a vocal feminist and supporter of LGBTQ rights, among other things. He recently slammed Piers Morgan for his degrading remarks about the Women’s March, and mocked homophobic backlash to the new
movie, joking that it was “full of gay sex.” You no longer need to stay up at night, rocking back and forth and wondering if McGregor knows he’s both woke

For Boyle, the reunion truly came to life once the actors got together for a read-through of the script a few months before shooting. “That was really important, because you heard their voices again in the parts,” he told
on the red carpet. “That was an amazing moment, and that filled everybody with confidence, I think.”
The entire experience was “very, very surreal, ” Miller told
Everything from getting dinner together to “seeing the clothes again” sparked a renewed sense of nostalgia.
“We were filming in this old deserted factory in the middle of nowhere, halfway between Edinburgh and Glasgow,” Bremner told
“There was such warmth in that reunion. We all respect each other so much.”
Inside the screening, Boyle made an impromptu speech about the film, joking that people always ask the same three questions: Would
feature the same four actors? Would Kelly McDonald (who played Diane) return? And would the soundtrack be just as good?
“No pressure there,” the director said with a laugh. The original soundtrack featured music by Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Blur and more.
Boyle also praised the core four stars as the actors who “built” his entire career (and who all accepted small paychecks for the reunion, he joked). “I owe them an enormous debt.”
